I started using Sennheiser mics after being a long time and loyal user of the Share 58. For my vocals, these mics brought more presence and articulation. I decided to take a chance on this headphone mic. At first I wasn't sure because it seemed like there was almost an added "reverb" (rather than a hollow sound) that threw me off. With a bit of tweaking, I ended up dialing in a really good sound, to where not only do I now "slightly" prefer this to my hand held, but it is so much better being able to walk out into the audience and interact..it brings a new dimension to the performances.

My big complaint about this product is that the manual is written in emojis.Once we figured it out (which took forever thanks to the crap instructions) it was great and worked like a charm.Check compatibility with the existing sound system, though. Suggest a run-through well in advance of your event.The over the head mic is great for presenters who need their hands free.Sound is awesome. Everything together is light enough to carry easily in one hand.Very happy.

Should come with a channels and some general info in a manual or something 🫣

This is the 2nd Sennheiser microphone set we received after the 1st broke - no transmission at all in less than 1 month. The replacement is already crackling with constant static when speaking into mic. I am highly frustrated spending more money for "quality sound" and having major issues with this microphone and body pack.

As you would expect from Sennheiser, an excellent microphone with great range.We use this for presentations and recordings if we have a situation where there's a lot of background noise. It works great. The Cardioid mic makes for a lot less background noise than the Sennheiser ME2 omni-directional lavalier mic we frequently use for videos we produce. For the videos, background noise is less of an issue so the convenience of a lav is great. However for stage presentations or situations where there is a lot of background noise, a cardioid mic works much better and this is another great Sennheiser product.We don't have a particularly huge room, so can't comment on the range of this unit. The range of the ME2/EW100 lav mics is just awesome and I expect this to work just as well, but we haven't had a chance to test that aspect of it. It's not clear if the X5 system is replacing the EM system, but given the similar price points and Sennheiser reputation, I would expect at least the same range if not better.We've relied on Sennheiser mics and receivers for years. This works as well as expected and, as with most of their products, is well worth the money if you're using them professionally. They aren't cheap, so if you're just doing a podcast or simple presentations, this might be a bit of overkill. But if you're looking for high quality, professional equipment that will stand up to day-in, day-out use, this is what you want.
