Orient is among my favorite watch brands, and I own several. Well-made, priced fairly, and a true watch house that makes their own movements. But their unique designs are what sets them apart. Orient was known for their calendar watches, which took a more predominant place in their line-up in days past. Instead of adding pointless complications for the sake of it, Orient watches tend toward features and complications that are actually useful. They include power reserve indicators in many of their watches, a useful complication for an automatic watch. Their calendar watches include, well, a calendar feature that is strangely unique given watches are "timepieces". This is a classic and interesting piece, unique to Orient, that manages to retain readability despite the amount of information conveyed on the dial.
