This is my second tin of this glue (B & Q have decided to stop stocking many small items such as this - certainly at their Crewe Branch !) and I have found it perfect for bonding surfaces that have come apart for whatever reason (in my case, kitchen cover fronts - of German manufacture - so bit of a surprise there !). Once brushed on to the two surfaces evenly it is almost ready to stick together (says 5 - 10 mins on the tin) so you have to be quick ! Have had no recurring problems since. Three things to watch out for - you MUST HAVE GOOD VENTILATION near the job as glue gives off very strong smell of adhesive. Also make sure you BOND the items perfectly first time - if not then "separating" the items again is almost impossible - the Bond is immediate as deaigned to be. Have found the glue goes "off" fairly quickly after use. Not sure why - remainder of first tin was like mash when I tried to use again ( like rubber compound - cannot be separated). Have "stored" second tin upside down to se if that makes any difference ! (not expecting anything positive there - which maybe why it is sold in such small tins ?)

The adhesive is fine and easy to use - well as easy as contact adhesive usually is! However I've fallen well short of their advertised coverage of 2.5sqm for coating both sides. I'm using the spreader supplied to glue cork sheet to bamboo sheet and have so far treated 0.2sqm yet I'm 1/4 to 1/3 of the way through the tin. I've another 0.5sqm to do and I have serious doubts that I'll complete it all! Docked it one star for that reason. An update - Having the project there was a very small amount left. I changed to using a decorators scraper to spread the adhesive rather than the slotted spreader provided and I was able to get it to spread more economically. Still my area was 0.72sqm so I'd be surprised if it covers more than 1sqm in total.

Used many types of contact adhesive and this one is very workable. Not stringy at all with two methods of using it. Quick method with support ( taped) or delayed with immediate bond. Details supplied with product. Not as smelly and easily cleaned up after use. Overall very useful contact adhesive and would highly recommend this product.

I liked the "Thixotropic" paste like consistency. Very easy and clean to spread evenly. I cleaned, degreased, and dusted a piece of 3mm Neoprene sheet and a lump of machined flat Beech wood end grain. Applied the adhesive to both surfaces and waited 10 minutes until it was touch dry. Carefully aligned them and pushed together. First thing to note is that the word "Time" in the product name means you haven't got any!. It really does bind instantly and you cannot reposition it even a minute amount. Hmm. Anyway, after pressing the parts together I attacked them with a 2 inch hand roller, making sure both pieces were really well contacted by rolling. I put the part away in the lounge and didn't touch it for 24 hours. I then gave each corner a gentle pull and it all seemed solid. With a successful test piece I went about preparing the bunch of big wood legs that need Neoprene feet. I looked again at the test piece the next day and two of the corners had started to peel. I gave one of them a gentle pull and it peeled away for 20mm or so. Failure. The Neoprene that came away left all it's contact cement behind, it was bare of glue. I can only conclude that, unlike most contact cements, it does not self-prime Neoprene. There was no sign of chemical bonding at all. Under 10x magnification, the peeled corner of Neoprene was pristine. I won't be using it again. Ability to self-prime rubbers is a fundamental requirement of adhesives for this application, and the product name gives a false sense that you have time to work with it. Also, at £9.49 for 250ml, it works out at £37.96 per litre!!! I have since for a specic cement for Neoprene made by Diall/Bostik. It is Thixotropic, Has repositioning time before it bonds, and is entitled Neoprene cement. It is also £9.50 per litre :)

Never used this before, and all contact adhesives I have used have been fluid (runny) but with this you dip the brush in and it actually leaves a hole whee the brush went in and out and stays as a void. However used it to stick the whole sole of a trainer to the upper, waited the usual 10 mins, and it certainly has stuck. Will have to see if it lasts, but it certainly seems to be ok at present
