Perfect PS5 Upgrade — Fast, Easy, and Worth It
I picked up the ADATA 2TB Premium SSD for PS5 (APSFG‑2T‑CSUS) after finally getting tired of deleting games every time a new title dropped. This drive is exactly what I needed. Installation was super simple — popped off the PS5 cover, screwed it in, and the console recognized it instantly. No errors, no hassle. Performance is outstanding. Load times are lightning fast, and everything feels just as smooth as the PS5’s internal storage. Transferring games between drives is quick, and even large titles move over faster than I expected. The built‑in heatsink is a huge plus. After several long gaming sessions, the SSD stays cool and stable, which gives me confidence it’ll last. 2TB is a game changer. I can finally keep all my favorite games installed at once without juggling space. If you’re looking for a reliable, high‑speed SSD that works perfectly with the PS5, this one is absolutely worth it. Great performance, great capacity, and a great value overall.

ADATA 2TB SSD
ADATA 2TB SSD – Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for PS5! I picked up the ADATA 2TB Premium SSD (PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280) to expand my PS5 storage, and it’s been an awesome upgrade. Installation was super easy — it fit perfectly into the PS5 slot, and the console recognized it immediately. After formatting, I had about 2TB of extra space ready to go.

Great SSD!
This SSD was the perfect addition to my ps5! I read an online tutorial on how to install it and I had it in within 10 minutes. It doesn't hit all the way up to the advertised 7,400 MB/s transfer speed, but that's to be expected. It will only hit that in perfect conditions. It did hit around 6200 MB/s though on a random write and read test that Sony does automatically. Which is perfect because that is better than the minimum required by the ps5. This is one of the best value SSD's I can find on amazon right now since it is so cheap! It was easy to install as well as high quality. I have had it for a few months now and it works perfectly! Even if it did fail it has a 5 year warranty! So even if it did fail I can just get another for free! I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to get the best value SSD and just needs a little more storage. 10/10

Worth if you play a lot of games
Easy install and I’ve had it since the ps5 came out and I still have space on my ps5. Never had any problems with it. It’s fast and doesn’t over heat.

Drive performs well and has dram cache, but included cooler has problematic issue
(4TB Legend 960 Max w/ heatsink) - Drive works well, actually has its dram cache too, but I have to take off a star because the design of the included cooler has a major problem: you have to slide the drive and heatsink into the included bracket, but the bracket has double sided tape on it instead of a silicone-greased thermal pad. This tape will cause the drive and its sticker (which when installed correctly, will face into the tape) to adhere before fully inserted, rendering the drive uninstallable as the bracket will be sticking out on one end of the drive, preventing it from being plugged in or screwed in properly. Removing the drive from it in this state will cause the sticker to rip, and its specifically designed to rip if removed because for some reason drives need a 'warranty void if removed' sticker which makes no real sense to me. If you are in the US, you should know that these stickers are unenforceable and you can send the FTC after them if they refuse your warranty claim. In other jurisdictions, they may be able to get away with it. Either way, its scummy to have them, and worse still to design a product that when used as intended carries immense risk of destroying the sticker. To get around this issue, you can just scrape off the tape, then slide in the drive and heatsink. The fit on mine is tight enough the drive ends up lightly pressing against the bottom anyways, and the main heat-sensitive component is the controller, which is located on the top where the thermal pad and heatsink are.

Seems to be a great value.
I have used rotating media hard drives, hybrid drives with very large caches, and solid state drives. The SSD's are the fastest, but are still limited by their SATA technology to a maximum of 600MB/S transfers. This NVMe SSD storage device can transfer data to a compatible motherboard, up to 3,500MB/S. Generally smaller, lighter, and more power efficient as well. I have had good luck with ADATA SSDs in the past, and so far this installed with no issues. It is working as expected. I have no idea if NVMe SSDs can be used for long term storage (more than 2 years, without periodically re-writing the data) but I would have serious doubts about it. Like how it works so far. Just remember "M.2" is a physical specification. A "M.2 SSD" can be either NVMe, or SATA, and you need to buy the correct type, that is supported by your computer. Also a "GEN4" SSD only delivers GEN4 speeds, when it is connected to a GEN4 capable interface. If you plug it into a GEN3 motherboard, you will only get GEN3 speeds.

A Must Have
Always trust ADATA products. This my 4th NVME drive I buy from this manufacturer. Such a great storage stick. Highly recommend for read/write speed. Will continue to buy and suggest because or reliability and price

Onbegrijpelijk!

Unfortunately the first one I received was defective (1TB) but the second one (2TB model) works great. For the price point (currently on sale) it is the fastest Gen4 SSD for the money with speeds on par with the Samsung 980 Pro. This SSD is essentially a rebranded Adata XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade but costs around $30 less. It even uses the exact same firmware. There is also firmware update available so you'll need to install it in a PC first if you plan on using it in your PS5. The firmware update doubled the write speed which wquite average initially (3000 MB/s). After the firmware update, I did two separate speed tests, one with the drive empty and another at 60% capacity. Speeds were essentially the same in both cases which is excellent. Ambient temps in a well ventilated case were 50C at idle and maxed out at 65C during read/write benchmarks. All in all a great performing SSD for the money. Make sure you install this in your primary M.2 slot (the one that communicates directly with the CPU) in order to get the fastest speeds possible.
