Highly recommend and will keep using!
I am so happy a friend told me about this product. It smells so good, unlike most hair coloring products that reek of chemicals. I can tell it's made from gentler, natural products because it didn't burn my eyes when I was washing it out. Even with eyes closed, you always end up getting some into your eyes (especially if you're rinsing in the shower) and with other products my eyes would burn really badly. It also did a good job with gray coverage but you do need to keep it on for the full 45 minutes indicated in the directions if you have gray hair. The color does come out slightly darker than what I expected - so the level 4 in this product is probably closer to what you'd expect from a 3. It didn't bother me, but I would suggest you start out a level lighter than you normally would the first time just to be safe.

So happy I tried PHYTO!
After a polar haircare disaster I was scared to try anything else. I went with the light golden brown tho it appeared to he lighter than my natural hair color. It still came put pretty dark.. very dark brown. (Im tempted to try the dark blonde and see how it comes out.)Its a gorgeous color though. I washed it once so far and it didn't seem to fade at all. It covered all my grays and after my first shampoo i didnt notice any fading, though im washing in cold water with redken color protect. I was very impressed with the coverage especially considering it didnt stain my skin at all. ** UPDATE** I'm so sad! this is by far the most amazing coloring product I've ever used. I came back to order more and it's sold out!! Now Im really stuck!

AMAZON SHOULD NOT SELL THIS HAIR PRODUCT.
The coloring agent was very difficult to squeeze out of the tube. It was so thick it clumped up instead of dissolving in the white bottle. The black tip was impossible to snap off, so I had to cut it with a knife. Since I was doing a test on the sides of my hair near my face, I blended a small amount and let the mixture in the bottle sit for 40 minutes to dissolve. After 40 minutes, the gray hair I tested had barely covered. I threw the bottle out and was glad I did after reading some of the negative reviews that I should have done originally.

Great but may take time to find right color
Ok, first about the color. I think my conclusion is that the colors are just gonna come out a bit differently on different people's hair and you may have to try different ones til you find the one that works for you. I went with 5.7 light chestnut brown, and it turned out a DARK, chocolate brown. I purposefully didn't go with the chestnut brown because of the reviews, thinking the *light* chestnut brown would be more like a medium brown, but it was definitely dark brown for me (darker than pics of the same color for some others). Not bad, thankfully I look okay with a darker hue, but I'm gonna progressively try lighter shades until I get to the one I actually want. Regarding coverage, I'd say the grey coverage is very good. There are always a sneaky few that I somehow miss, but otherwise it covered my roots well. The formula is definitely not too drying. I used a different brand before (with ammonia) and it took a couple weeks for my hair to get back to a normal moisture level, after very dedicated conditioning and moisturizers. Phyto didn't dry my hair out at all, so that was really great, especially as a curly haired gal. I am disappointed by one thing, though. The other brand I tried before, with ammonia), resulted in my hair falling out in larger amounts than my non-colored hair. I read that that's a pretty common result of the chemicals, so that's why I wanted to try Phyto to see if it would be different. So far it hasn't improved, though - my hair is still falling out at the same larger amount. I'm hopeful this may still improve in time, but it may be that Phyto is no different in that way. Still a great product, though, and I like that it seems to be gentler chemicals, so I will continue to use and work on finding the best color for me.

Good Single Process DIY Box Color
Intense chestnut brown is a good shade for naturally black hair that shines copper or reddish in sunlight. The undertone will be an ever so slightly cooler red but definitely not too cool. Looks natural. From the reviews I have read, if you use shade numbers lower than those in the 4s, even on naturally black hair, it will be very dark and perhaps unnatural looking. YMMV, especially if you are starting with lighter hair or if you have already dyed your hair. I picked this hair dye because it is top rated - IIRC by Good Housekeeping. I'm also a previous user of Phyto products like Defrisant. Not an easy to find product in the US AFAIK. I like my natural hair color and didn't want to dye my hair...until I had streaks of grey at my temples. It's not much but noticeable when I put my reading or sunglasses on my head. Easy to use. Covered my greys. (I have only seen two very, very short regrowing grey hairs that I plucked that didn't take the color, probably because they are so short and didn't get enough dye on them.) Understanding hair color for a novice can be tough. I know people in the hair business and still can't quite wrap my head around translating color theory to match my natural hair's undertones by using the stuff at, say, Sally's. I'm looking for a box dye that takes the guess work out of shade mixing. Phyto appears to have my back. I'll repost if the grey coverage doesn't last, the color turns weird after many washes, etc.

Color seems to be inconsistent...
I used this product for the first time September 26. I ordered 5.3 Light Golden Brown and loved the color. Today, a month later I colored my hair again with the same color; however, my hair color turned out a very dark brown. My girlfriend and I (a retired hairdresser) applied the solution as directed and use the same time period for saturation. This product is very easy to use, does to good job of completely coloring my hair, and leaves my hair feeling and smell good. BUT, the color change is very disturbing.

Saça güzel bir parlaklık veriyor kokusuz bir boya. Beyazlarım yoğun olmasa kullanmayı çok isterdim; ama beyazları neredeyse hiç kapatmıyor.
