A Christmas Carol (Ladybird Classics)

The product page of this book is misleading, as the reviews are for several different editions of the Christmas Carol. This review is for the Ladybird Classics hardcover.After consulting the description, I was under the impression that this is the original version. BUT it is NOT. It is abridged, and retold in the vocabulary of a 4-year old. Very disappointed. Paper quality and illustrations are nice; it is a nicely made children's book, but that was not what I was looking for.

This is a great book for young and old great to read on your own or have someone read to you the writing is clear and concise the story has been shortened but all the most important parts are there I really enjoy reading this and fills me with joy and positive thoughts this story will last forever its a timeless classic that everyone should enjoy and take pride and place on their library

I bought this as a resource to use I'm school with lower key stage 2, it is a lovely book with lots of images and the children really understood the story (this version includes all of the main elements and characters, just not the difficult vocabulary). I'm really pleased with it, it was dispatched promptly and arrived within the estimated delivery dates.

I read the book to my kids and they loved it..

My boy and I loved reading this at Christmas. I love Dickens and think this is a perfect introduction for a young child.
