Yesss. And very waterproof. When I have to walk through ankle deep muddy water I can still directly step up to my forklift with no slip. I have had no bad experiences with Carhartt. This is the best boot I have ever had. I am notoriously hard on boots and have worn out and have retired boots in a matter of month(s). With other brands soles come off or wear through in as quick as a month and a half. Historically Non- slick has been a joke for me because meant the boots would tear apart easier. NOT THIS BOOT. This is my dream boot This boot has shown no wear and is still comfortable. It was originally a work boot. Now it is now my boot for work and home.

Do these discolor white socks?

These boots are extremely tight on your feet you'll never wear them long enough to stain any color socks, don't buy unless you barbie narrow type feet.

What does 12 wide mean .

They are wider at the with of the toes My male friend will only wear these He says that they are the most comfortable boots
