Favorite salt gun
I know what you're thinkin'. 'Did he fire 10 shots or only nine?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a Shred-Er, the most powerful salt gun in the world... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, bug? Love this thing. I've had one for years and it works great still. It feels very well made and feels nice to hold in your hand, it absolutely destroys insects and has surprisingly good effective range.

Better then it's smaller brother
This is truly the best thing for having a bug free life. I do have the pump action one from the same company, but it has its limitations to small bugs only. This thing on the other hand is a beast. I have been using it for lantern flys and they are sneaky little things. They see you, they move around the branch and if u try to kill them by hand they jump. Hard to kill something that sneaky. With this beast they dont even have a chance to move or jump. It's, boom and ethernal sleep is the result for those things. This thing will also kill large bugs too, like cahroaches who have thick outer shells. If you are sensitive to things getting dismembered this is not the product for you. Only con I have for this beast and savior is that either the salt or the gas rusts down the internal metal components and had to disassemble and clean it twice now. It is expensive for a bug gun but I realized that it's exactly the same as my crossman ccp8b2 and a lot less expensive. I can still use the salt cartridges from this company with no issues with the corssman. If you live in the city like i do, get this bug gun vs the crossman, only because you dont want people calling the police on you for firing a gun in the back yard because they dont know what it is. This gun is yellow and the crossman is black and looks like a real gun from far away. There is no other product like this. Ps it is great for those pesky big house flys, no more ruined newspapers.

Not worth it
Item was fun until it broke after just a week. Just stopped shooting. Even when it worked, it was not as powerful as advertised. Was using it against carpenter bees but it really just knocks them down if you hit them about 6 inches away, then they get up and fly away unless you shoot 2 or 3 more times after that. Was still a lot of fun at first and it would be worth it if it was (at max) $30. But for $100, poor execution and hardly enough power. Not to mention still having to buy more ammo and CO2 cartridges. Better off rigging a paintball gun. Nonetheless, good company with a fun niche. I own one of their shotguns too and it is good quality and works as advertised. Not to mention cheap to refill. Still pricey for what it is but understandably so because of it being a smaller company. This Shred-Er revolver however is pushing it. I would also like to mention that Amazon has it listed that (Most customers keep this item) but that is because IT IS NONREFUNDABLE.

Wood Bees Don't Stand a Chance!
Here in East TN, we have a serious issue with Wood Bees and Red Wasps. They are everywhere and will not hesitate to buzz your head. It is very satisfying to knock a Wood Bee straight out of the air 2 feet away with one blast of the Bug-A-Salt Shred-er! The red wasps are harder to hit and are a little more resistant to the salt blast. That being said, the CO2 Pistol Shred-er is an order of magnitude more effective against thick exoskeleton insects. My brother is an entomologist, and I sent him one for his birthday, he hasn't stopped smiling.

Not a toy- lethal self defense against pests!
This is powerful. You can kill spiders at 10 feet. If you are too close you will remove the paint from your walls or ceiling and ruin curtains (trust me). That being said, my body count of bees, flies, and spiders is in the hundreds. I keep it with me by the pool or on the ready in case the wife runs screaming from the bathroom.

Goodโฆ but not quite as good as advertised
It works pretty good and itโs a lot of fun. Donโt get it twisted though itโs not exactly a carpenter B shredder. I got it because I had carpenter bees on my porch usually takes them down, but not every time

Easy to have to waste a lot of CO2 canisters...
This is an updated review, but I have left my initial review at the bottom, after this one. Anyway, I'm just revising this to share what I have learned since I got this, that I did not realize when I initially ordered it. According to the information provided by Bug-A-Salt, with the 5 canisters of CO2 that come with this gun, you should get about 240 shots out of them. And so, if we take 240 shots and divide that by 5, then we can say that one CO2 canister should give us roughly 48 shots or so. Ok, so that's great, right? Well, that depends I suppose. The instructions say NOT to leave a CO2 canister in the gun if it's not going to be used for a while. Then they go on to say NOT to leave a CO2 canister in the gun for more than 24 hours. And THEN, they say that when you go to remove a CO2 canister to slowly turn the piercing wing counter-clockwise to release any remaining CO2. So if you were wondering if you could take a CO2 canister out of the gun while it's not in use and then reuse it later? Well, that answers that doesn't it? So basically, if a big horsefly gets in one day, or one night you want to use this on a big roach that's gotten in, and that's all you'll wind up using it for that time? Then you'll have to use a whole CO2 canister for just a few shots... Something else worth mentioning, if you want to make sure your Bug-A-Salt Shred-er is going to last, is something else I learned from the instructions that I did not know when I got this gun. Under "Maintenance," they say to put 1 drop of silicone based oil on the tip of every CO2 cartridge. So if you are a newbie to something like this like I was, chances are that you don't have any silicone based oil on hand. And if you're getting ready to purchase this or have already purchased it, you might want to consider getting some. Anyway, with all of that being said, I still love the Bug-A-Salt Shred-er, as well as the company that makes it. And I realize that this problem of easily wasting CO2 canisters is not their fault, and is really more of a universal problem for anything that uses CO2 canisters. (Initial Review) I love this brand! There products are always of high quality and their advertising is always hilarious. This thing is a bit of a change for them though because it is pretty serious. I would recommend that only people who are capable of exercising self discipline should use this Bug-A-Salt gun. The instructions give a good idea of how powerful it is too. Because they say that if you shoot an ordinary fly with it from about 3 feet or less, then there won't be an intact, whole fly body to dispose of like with the other Bug-A-Salt guns, lol. Anyway, it's quite easy to tell that this Bug-A-Salt gun is built to last. Some of the parts are made of plastic but the parts that are the most important are made of metal. It's also really easy use it, as well as learning how to use it. So I'm glad that it has a safety switch. And one other thing. To anyone wondering if the laser sight that fits on all of the other Bug-A-Salt guns fits on this one? Yes, it is also compatible with this gun- The super duper mega awesome Bug-A-Salt Shred-Errrrrrrr!!

Terrible quality breaks easily
This thing is a crap, POS. I bought it for my buddy for a laugh for his wedding. His wife is absurdly scared of spiders. So I got him this "home spiders defense system". Worked great for 2 weeks then it broke. I tried to return it but my friend didnt have this code I needed so big waste of 300 bucks. Terrible quality. Buy the cheaper 50$ one i have that one and it's good, although less powerful.

Unreliable, broken, stick to the regular gun
Very unreliable, hasnโt worked since new and seller disabled returns. Broken regulator/cartridge plug means the cartridges empty immediately and will not fire.
