This is actually my second purchase so I can keep one of these at home and one at the office for my SDR's. Works perfectly well for airband and military frequencies. The combination of light weight and suction mount is really useful allowing me to put it outside on the window when I want to use, or on the roof of the car when out and about. Its certainly not weather proof, so I wouldn't leave outside in the rain. Build quality is OK, though at the end of the day, the elements are telescopic, so inherently fragile. Aside from that, all good!

nice antenna I use mainly for DAB+ and a little Hamradio listening.

I bought this together with my RTL-SDR Blog V3 and I think it is a very good antenna kit to start experimenting with SDR.What I like most is the versatility. Instead of having one antenna that is supposed to magically work for everything, you can change the length and orientation of the dipole depending on what you want to receive. It also forces you to learn a little bit about wavelength and antenna placement, which for me is part of the fun. The kit is very complete from suction cup to tripod, and a wide range of antenna position and direction.I have used it for quite different things: AIS around 162 MHz, ACARS/VDL2 around 130 MHz, ADS-B at 1090 MHz, 433 MHz sensors, and general exploration of the spectrum as well as satellite ! Obviously it is not going to be the perfect antenna for every frequency, but I was actually surprised by what I could receive just by adjusting the elements and finding a decent position near a window.The suction cup and different mounting possibilities are also useful. I live in an apartment, so installing a large permanent outdoor antenna is not really an option. With this I can experiment, move it around, change the orientation, put it against a window, and pack everything away afterwards.The included cables are useful as well, although with the longer thin coax you should expect some signal loss, especially when going to higher frequencies. That's physics rather than a problem with the kit.Overall, I think it is an excellent companion to an RTL-SDR for a beginner. It is cheap, simple and flexible enough that you can actually learn why one configuration works better than another instead of just plugging in an antenna and forgetting about it.Be warned though: you may start by casually moving two metal rods around your window and a few weeks later find yourself calculating quarter wavelengths for aircraft transmissions (sorry babe <3)
