I don't think they would work well for a/c duck channels. They are more for general dusting of furniture. They are microfiber and soft. You would need something with bristles for that .

Do they fold / rotate (so you can dust ceiling fans)?

No they do not. I use mine for my car. Easy to reach front and back dash.
