Arteck Universal Backlit 7-Colors Bluetooth Touch TV Keyboard with Easy Media Control and Build-in Touchpad for TV-Connected Computer, Smart TV, Desktop, Laptop, iPad, Surface, Tablet, HTPC

I've had a couple of Arteck keyboards for different uses and have always found them to be good quality at a reasonable price. I was delighted when I saw that Arteck makes this touchpad keyboard, it was just exactly what I was looking for to run a Linux machine hooked up to a big screen TV that serves as a sort of secondary entertainment center in a guest bedroom. The form factor is excellent. I don't really need a numerical keypad on this, so replacing the number pad with a touchpad allows a nice large touch pad, considerably larger than the touch pad you typically find below the keys on laptops or other keyboards. The large touch pad makes this excellent for selecting Youtube videos or Spotify playlist from an easy chair and eliminates the need for a side table or tray to use a mouse. The keyboard section seems to be full size, so it's easy to use this for more extended typing for email and document creation. The only thing it lacks in the numeric pad, so the only weakness would be for users who want that compact math layout. For entertainment rather than office productivity purposes, this is a nearly perfect keyboard. One word of caution - I am finding it a bit unreliable at log in on my Linux machine. I've only used it a few times, but I have had to reconnect and fiddle with it for a few minutes to get it working consistently. I'm not going to deduct a star for that, as I am pretty new to both Linux and this keyboard. I'm hoping to find out that I'm just missing some simple step or setting that will make it connect consistently and immediately when I power up this machine. Otherwise, once I get it working, it functions perfectly. Smooth scrolling, smooth cursor movement, no noticeable lag.

I really like this keyboard, glad I made the decision to purchase it. It had a very solid build about it, something you can actually move around and doesn’t feel like it’s going to break. I love the backlit keys, didn’t realize what I was missing. The keys are not silent, but they’re not loud either. I really like the feel of the touchpad, it’s just firm enough so you’re not clicking on everything by accident, but smooth enough to enjoy using for longer periods of time. I would highly recommend giving it a try. As for the Bluetooth, you can’t change the timeout setting for the keyboard, but if you go into power management (windows device) and cut off allowing the computer to cut off Bluetooth to save power, it works great (having to wake the keyboard up every few seconds got annoying quick) Also you will see this review for the full layout version also. Yes, I got both versions LOL I like having a numeric keypad sometimes. They are both equally great.

So, I purchased this keyboard in January 2023 because I needed an input device that would allow me to use my laptop as an additional monitor without it being in my lap, or on the desk, partially blocking the view of my desktop monitor. I'm also one of those (rare?) people that actually prefers a touchpad instead of a trackball or mouse. And, like my laptop, the keyboard had to be backlit and include a 10-key number pad. In short, I wanted an input device that duplicated my laptop's keyboard layout and features without the monitor! Now, I'd have thought such a device would be fairly easy to find. I was wrong. It turns out wireless keyboards with a built-in trackpad is something of a niche market -- let alone one with a number pad! So, when I discovered Arteck it was a "Eureka" moment! Unfortunately, the trackpad is on the right side of the keyboard instead of the bottom, so, no number pad. Still, the keys are standard size, so my fingers don't feel cramped typing on it, and the trackpad and buttons are also a decent size, which is remarkable given the keyboard's compact footprint. There are also "feature" buttons to control volume, brightness, pause/play, forward/rewind, window selection, and projection, that are cool because they don't require pressing the 'Fn' key when using them (as my laptop does), which is very efficient. Lastly, the backlit key feature has a Hi/Lo setting, like my laptop, and the seven color selection is more fun than I thought it would be. I was used to the one bright white color on my laptop, but I've already cycled through a few of the colors on the Artech. I'm currently using purple, which reminds me of a black light, and looks really cool in dim lighting. The keyboard layout did take some getting used to, since I was used to my laptop's keyboard, but in a very short while it's become quite comfortable, even preferable in some ways. That said, a couple of weeks ago, it inexplicably stopped working, and I was beside myself! At the time, the battery on one of my earbuds was no longer holding a charge and needed to be replaced, or I needed to buy new earbuds, so, I attributed the same issue to my keyboard because the charge light was red and wasn't connecting to my computer -- even with a USB cable. I'd only had the keyboard for about nine months and now it was useless. I thought about replacing the battery, which I'd planned to do with my earbud, but I couldn't find a repair guide, so I tossed it in the closet and sulked until I figured out whether I wanted to buy another one or something different. Eventually, I went back to read the reviews to see if anyone else had the problem I was having and sure enough there were 26 reviews with the same or similar. The first review I saw was by a purchaser named Mike who said his died, but it could be fixed. After reading the review, I discovered he tried re-pairing it with his computer and it suddenly worked. So, I went into the settings on my laptop and discovered the keyboard was no longer there; I re-paired the keyboard and now it works! Lesson learned; it pays to read through the reviews. All in all, it really is a great wireless keyboard, and I've become somewhat addicted to using it. the last couple of weeks weren't miserable, but it was more than annoying and I really missed its functionality in my daily usage at home. The ghosting of its pairing with my computer is my only real complaint because it caused so much frustration. Other than that, I'm all smiles. Thank you, Mike!

I was using the Logitech keyboard for ages, to control the laptop permanently hooked up to the big TV. It required a good product to make me change, and I think this is the one. It's more of a full sized keyboard so easier to type on. It worked steaight out the box, but at one point dropped the bluetooth connection and I had a problem reconnecting. I emailed customer service and they got back to me really quickly and talked me through an easy fix and it's been great since. I'm still trying to figure out the sleep mode on it, sometimes if I don’t lock the keyboard and it goes into sleep mode, I have to take a second pressing keys and wiggling the mousepad until it wakes up, but it always does and isn't that bad. I really love the fact this is USB charged, USB-C no less, so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries and hunting round the house for AAs anymore!

This is a good keyboard. I bought it to use on my lap with an iPad on a music stand. The backlight really helps in low light. It’s solid and the trackpad works well for a non-Apple trackpad. This is a replacement for one I bought earlier that has a smaller form factor and is lighter, but also much flimsier and was flaky on the Bluetooth connection. Very happy with this one.

Like most folks, I've used multiple of keyboards in my life. Of the various keyboards I've owned, I've generally had a high regard for Logitech keyboards. Unfortunately, I could not find any good option from them when it comes to a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad. The Arteck keyboard had decent reviews so thought I'll give it a try. My use case -- I wanted a portable keyboard+trackpad option for my Steam Deck. I don't currently own a laptop (have a mac and a PC desktop), and so figured I'll use my steam deck with a portable monitor and a bluetooth keyboard. I've used it for about a month now, and I am very impressed. This keyboard has honestly surpassed my expectations. I expected it to be a generic cheap product with bad build quality. In fact, it turned out that is one aspect I'm the most impressed by. After having using it for a month, I'm honestly surprised how good the build quality is. All keys have a good amount of travel. It's comfortable typing on this keyboard (as well as can be expected on a keyboard this size). Like I said, I've been using it with my Steam Deck, and it works just as expected. I didn't have to install any drivers. Steam OS connected to it just fine. And it works just as well in Desktop mode and in Gaming mode. The keyboard goes to sleep as expected, and if I return at any time and press any key it immediately wakes up the steam deck. The back lights are good enough. The trackpad works well. I can tap to click. Two finger scrolling works very well, and swiping down with three fingers shows the desktop. The trackpad buttons are of excellent quality as well. I've had no issues with the battery as well. I just put it on charge maybe once a week. Not sure how long it'll last if I don't but it seems good enough. I know i'm giving it an exceptionally glowing review, but I feel this product does deserve it. At this price I wasn't expecting anything nearly as good. Edit: 1+ yr update. The keyboard is still working just as expected. Absolutely no complaints thus far. One thing I noticed on the Steam Deck -- the trackpad gets identified as a 'mouse' in Linux Desktop, instead of a trackpad. That means to change pointer speed, scroll direction etc. you have to go to mouse settings instead of trackpad settings. Linux says 'No trackpad detected'. That had confused me at first. But the mouse settings do all I want, so no issues. But that does mean there is no way to turn off 'tap to click' in Linux (at least none that I could find). But I like to leave it ON anyway, so not a problem for me. One (very) minor gripe is that the manual is not available on the Amazon page, nor on the manufacturer's website. If you forget the instructions, having a manual is handy. Luckily a google search brought up PDF manual easily on one of the generic manual websites. I would suggest you download it and keep it for reference. I've pasted basic instructions using a label-maker on the back (I tend to forget the keys for changing colors, brightness etc.)

3/5 stars:Best keyboard from all the keyboard + touchpad combinations, It feels like 90% of what the Logitech MX keys keyboard feels like Great touchpad, comes with separate buttons making the use of the left and right buttons completely accurate. Good battery life, nice backlight options. Downside: Inconsistent Bluetooth, will connect right away sometimes, other times you will need to log in using the onscreen keyboard and then go in to the Bluetooth settings to set it up. This kills an otherwise perfect keyboard. This keyboard does not come with a 2.4ghz backup dongle, and it CANNOT be used wired.

I've been looking for a replacement to my beloved Logitech TK820 for years, and have never found a good replacement. I would have thought that logitech would have come out with something comparable, or even better after all this time, but they never did. This keyboard really surprised me. It is the first keyboard I've found in 5 years that is an adequate replacement for the TK820. It does not feel as solid or substantial, but it absolutely works. I have grown increasingly frustrated over the last 6-7 years at how manufacturers have stopped catering to people who know how to use computers, and know how to type. I don't care that they make things for people who don't fit into that category, but they shouldn't assume that category includes everyone. The en_us 102 key keyboard layout has been the same for the last 50+ years, and no liberties should be taken with that. Add a few keys, fine. Illuminate the keys, fine. But don't start moving them around because you assume nobody uses them anymore. The skill of typing works because it relies on these things being in the same place every time you use it. Moving keys causes only the most minor of conveniences for people who don't type, but causes great frustration and inefficiency for those that do This keyboard, by and large, respects this principal. They shrunk a couple of the keys typically used only by programmers and command-line users, but they are at least in the place the should be. This is obviously in an effort to keep the footprint of the keyboard compact. I use this keyboard for my HTPC (which is just a computer hooked up to my TV). I use it from across the room, and I use it for everything -- not just launching movies or video games. I'm typing this review on it now. I shop with it, I program with it, I remote control other PCs with it, I use the command line, I script with it, I write letters to my grandmother with it... and it works very well. It even has some features that the TK820 didn't -- for example, the ability to swap the function keys. Another annoyance of mine is how they have endeavored to give these keys alternate purposes (like turn the volume up and down, or change the brightness of your monitor). These functions already exist, and they can be learned. The FKeys DO do something, they have purposes, if you don't know them, you can rectify that. Switching their function is uncalled for -- but at least this keypboard gives youa hardware solution for fixing it. It is also backlit (the tk820 was not). I noticed that a couple previous reviewers stated that this keyboard does not work with Linux... That is categorically untrue. I'm using it on a Linux system as I write this. It works, and it works great... you just might need a bluetooth dongle on your pc if there isn't one onboard. In sum, this is a really good keyboard for the money. It is reasonably solid, it works in Linux, it respects people who know how type (but does not demand that you do). It works from a good distance, and isn't too laggy. I is probably not great for gaming in real-time, but it is wireless... most wireless keyboards are not.

Bought it to use with my tablet so I can leave the laptop to gather dust. Once you get used to the smaller size it's great. No issues with the track pad and the keys have a nice amount of travel. Well made and a charge seems to last ages. Worth the money.

This bluetooth keyboard will not pair with any computer. It is a total waste of money. Despite stating it has a 2 year warranty, Arteck just brazenly refuse to honour the warranty.

Got this keyboard over a month ago, to replace my logitech k400+ (which still works but has been adopted). The arctek keyboard works really well! keyboard is a bit more spacious, and the track pad works better. love the backlighting and, contrary other comments, I haven't had to charge it since the initial charge (always charge new li batteries to full before using). Been using it for typing schoolwork and it is super comfy and no delay at all with the bluetooth. It also has allowed me to access a phone that had lost most of it's screen usability when the screen cracked. By connecting the keyboard, I am able to use a cursor on the phone screen and have full use of that phone again! Wonderful keyboard at a competitive price! and delivery was much faster than anticipated!

I have a PC in my living room and need a wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad to control it effectively. For 5+ years I've been using the Logitech K400(+) and, while it did it's job, I never found it that comfortable to use, with average build quality and irritating issues like its signal sometimes dropping out and its touchpad being very imprecise. I spent the better part of a year looking for a premium replacement to the K400 and found that most of the good options from other providers (such as the K83 from Corsair and Logitech's own K830) are either incredibly difficult to find for already high list prices (£100+) or have been discontinued completely. Eventually, however, I started searching through non-premium keyboards and was pleased to find this one from Arteck which had great reviews and decided to buy one. Long story short I'm incredibly pleased: the keyboard is very comfortable to use - unlike the K400 where each key is closer together than on a regular keyboard, the Arteck has standard key spacing and that, plus the very tactile, clicky keys makes the keyboard incredibly comfortable to type on. The touchpad, too, is much more responsive and smooth to use, with big left and right click buttons below it that also feel great to press. And there's a backlight with adjustable colours for each key, too - which makes the keyboard a bit easier to use in a darkened room than the K400 or other unlit keyboards would be. Another minor - but nice - touch - is the shape of the keys - letter and number keys are slightly concave and function/modifyer keys (like control/alt/arrow keys) are slightly convex - helping you find your way around the keyboard more easily while touch-typing. The build quality is great: very little flex to the housing and each key and button is completely fixed in its socket, unlike the k400 which I found to have both of these issues. The keyboard connects over standard bluetooth and I've been exclusively using it on a Windows 11 PC with a motherboard based bluetooth antenna - this has meant I've had a flawless connection since I started using it and no issues with dropping signal or lag - but I guess your milage could vary based on your setup. Overall, I'd highly recommend this keyboard: for me it was a fantastic upgrade from the K400 - which had just enough drawbacks to frustrate me using it everday - and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with it as a keyboard for a media PC, tablet, nintendo switch, etc - provided their bluetooth connectivity is stable enough.
