Hand Max Versatile Multi Purpose 14inch Cow Gauntlet Leather Kevlar Heat Resistant Gloves

I just adopted out the 6th feral kitten I have fostered since I became a kitty "foster mom" When you work with feral kittens to tame them you need to show no fear - animals can pick up any anxiety you feel almost immediately. These gloves work great for handling a new or very scared/aggressive kitten when you need to start taming them or when they need grooming or medical attention. They probably won't stop a very determined bite, but it sure beats bare hands! Worth the money for making it easy to work with the kittens and saves me some trips to the ER and money spent on preventable bites and scratches. Also, they fit my rather small hands, which is unusual and that alone made them worth the price.

Perfect, did the trick I bought this just after I tried to put flea meds on a semi-feral cat that lives in my house. I haven't been able to touch this cat since I've had him for a year and a half. All three of my cats are indoor cats. I ended up with fleas because I had new floors put in my home. That meant I had to treat the semi-feral cat. I was severely attacked and within 8 hours I couldn't feel my fingers and there were red streaks up my arm. Since I have to do this once a month, I knew I needed to get a better way. These gloves, along with Kevlar sleeves (and a fishing pole) did the trick. The vet gave me a kitty sedative which I put in his food after I segregated him. I then put the sleeves and gloves on, and pinned the kitty to the floor with the net. Those gloves gave me the confidence and protection to do what I have to do.

Bought these gloves in preparation for moving into a new apartment with my cat, Pumpkin. Pumpkin was feral/a stray when I started feeding her a couple years ago. She's very sweet, loves to be pet, but is absolutely terrified of being handled. In April I took her to her first vet appointment but when I tried to get her into her carrier, she bit me badly on the hand. I ended up hospitalized after developing a serious infection from the bites and nearly needed my hand amputated. Thankfully that did not happen but naturally, I was very concerned of having a repeat of that incident when we moved so I bought these. Sure enough, when move in day came I picked up Pumpkin and she bit my hand multiple times. My hand and fingers were bruised but she did not puncture my skin. These gloves were perfect for my needs and I'm very glad I purchased them. Probably saved me a second stay in the hospital.

I bought these because I have an older Husky that can become somewhat aggressive during handling - bathing, brushing, nail trimming - and will bite. I do muzzle her when I am going to make an attempt to do these things, but sometimes she's less than cooperative with that as well, and it can lead to a 30 minute chase and stand-off with a dog I affectionately refer to as "the Destroyer". I needed to brush her neck area so I could put a new Seresto collar on, so that was my first task with these gloves. I couldn't muzzle her, because the straps would have been in the way. I went to work, and got halfway done before the first bite. And this was not a quick nip, this was the 1-2 chomp chomp of an angry dog. It hurt like hell because there's no padding, but no broken skin, nails, or even a bruise. We did well until she caught me on an Exorcist-type head spin side nip on the forearm just above the glove gauntlet. I decided to call it a day after that, since I was sweating like a horse, and we were both panting heavily & practically frothing at the mouth. I was able to handle the plastic snap buckle on her regular collar with these on, but had to take one off to get the Seresto collar secured. In summary, these gloves protected my fingers when bitten, and are flexible enough to provide a good amount of dexterity. However, the lack of padding may be an issue for some, as you still intensely feel the bite. My finger was fairly useless for 2 days, except as a reminder that I am a mere mortal. It would be better if the gauntlet came longer also, but may not be an issue if your bitey animal doesn't become possessed by an evil entity. These gloves overall serve their purpose, but I will still actively try to avoid being bitten while wearing them. I'm afraid if I pass out from the pain, she'll finish the job she started.

These gloves have been nothing but good to me. It's almost a year since I've purchased them and just now a small hole has appeared in the center of the middle finger on the right glove. I've used them doing all sorts of work around the farm. Stacking wood, grabbing snakes, playing with cats, clearing thorny weeds, filling the wood furnace, you name it. These gloves have been excellent. I will be buying a new pair to replace them, but these have definitely been worth it. It's not even a big hole, it's about an eighth of an inch wide and a perfect oval. They are still absolutely usable. My only issue is that they do not keep your hands warm when you're working in the winter, but then again it's a pair of working gloves and they aren't exactly supposed to. 10 out of 10. Edit: So I used these to grab hold of a massive rat. I was a bit nervous but I've put my previous pair through so much without feeling a thing that I felt confident enough to do it. Plus 'animal handling' is in the title and description anyway. Well, the rat bit me as expected, hard too. Pinched two of my fingers pretty good, but the teeth did not go through these gloves. They didn't even leave a mark or a tear on the outside. When it bit me I didn't know what to think. I wasn't sure if my fingers were okay or not, I could feel the pressure of the bite holding onto me, and after pushing hard against the teeth it let go of my fingers. After I realized my fingers were fine I picked it up by Inserting two fingers in its mouth and holding onto the jaw to prevent it from biting anything but the gloves. These are definitely worth the buy if you need to handle wild animals that bite.

Diese Handschuhe sind daher Gold wert. Kein Kratzer, Beißer kommt durch. Und sobald er merkt, dass Widerstand zwecklos ist, fügt er sich auch seinem Schicksal. Eine sehr gute Anschaffung.
