Stant 10228 Radiator Cap - 7 PSI

If you want a radiator cap that will reduce the potential for leaks & hose blowouts on older vehicles, this fit my radiator. Pleased with it. If your radiator uses the larger style cap and has the cap on radiator (not recovery bottle) this will probably fit. It will not fit the small style like many imports use. Just be warned 7psi will lower the coolant boiling point which may be a problem if you run over 225 degrees which i avoid if possible. I have even gotten away with running a modified cap at 0psi but that's a bad idea because on some vehicles water pump creates a vacuum on radiator hoses which can collapse them while driving and impede coolant flow, this 7psi cap ensures that will not happen.

Stant has always made good products. This cap worked perfectly on my 55 Chevy. The old cap from Stant lasted 16 years. Hope this one does the same.
