Put these under the cabinets in our kitchen and we love them! Tons of functionality and they get very bright. The only downside I can think of is that they don’t get as dim as we’d like them to sometimes but other than that we love the color options and ability to modify the preset patterns.

These things are great, best led strips on the market in my opinion, they can be very bright if you want them to be, easy install too.

The Kasa Smart LED Light Strip, Has been a great addition to my home setup. I’m using these under my mantle and inside my bar shelves, and they’ve worked exactly as expected. Installation was easy, and connecting them to the app took just a few minutes. The Kasa app works very well — the lights connect reliably every time and respond quickly to changes. The lighting looks clean and even, and it really adds to the overall look and feel of the spaces. Being able to adjust colors and brightness makes it easy to set the right mood, whether it’s subtle accent lighting or something more vibrant. Overall, these have been reliable, easy to use, and visually appealing. If you’re already using Kasa products or want a dependable smart light strip that just works, this is an easy recommendation.

I own 5 sets of these light strips, plus multiple KASA smart plugs and 3 KASA light bulbs. I love the KASA products, the app is wonderful to use, and everything is easy to connect. It integrates with my Alexa device for easy voice control and grouping. These lights are pretty versatile. I have two sets under my bed frame, one behind two different TVs, and another behind my dresser. They provide awesome ambient light. The reason I dock a star is the following: - Lack of Hex color or RGB numbering - Inflexible strip and once it's cut it's done Within the app you only get a color wheel, you can't type in the RGB numbers to get a specific color. This makes it difficult to get the PRECISE color for each set of lights throughout the house. Even the white light colors seem different, especially between the light bulbs and the light strips. Secondly, the strip is very tight and strong rubber/plastic. It cannot bend around corners. You can force it, as I have around my TVs but it won't be flush on the surface and eventually the adhesive will fall off, but you can tape it down. Overall, it's a fantastic product and I will be buying more. It will get 5 stars if they add an easy way to make every single KASA product you have the exact same color when you want them to be.

Work well, easy to activate, but glue is inadequate

Update: after just under 2 years, all my LED strips have started going offline every month or two, all at the same time, and require a complete reinstall which takes a good half hour. Super annoying. I don't know if there was a firmware or app update that destabilized everything. All my bulbs and switches have worked flawlessly so I know it's not a problem with my network. Also, two of my LED strips no longer respond properly to scheduling on the app, i.e. they turn on randomly and don't turn off when they should. Reinstall doesn't fix the problem. I loved these lights but don't know that I'd buy them again after all this. Original review: I recently built myself a house and have 7 of these light strips installed in various places, mostly as uplighting. I'm generally really happy with them but had a frustrating time with installation. I'll break this into installation and functionality / app interface. Install: For a normal use case, installation really couldn't be easier. The app walks you through step by step and has never failed me. But I had unusual circumstances, and these Kasa lights weren't well designed for going off-script. I have a 12V transformer in my utility room that feeds power to all my LED strips, allowing me to have them all on one switch, controllable by anyone who doesn't have my phone. I found that if I accidentally reversed the polarity of the wires when wiring power to the controller modules, the modules burned out instantly. This is an absolutely trivial thing to protect against on a circuit board, costing mere pennies in additional diodes/hardware. Thumbs down for cheaping out on this. The LED strips also failed where I needed to solder in an extension between the controller and strip (because the strip was located more than a few feet away from the power supply). This strip now works on solid colors but flickers when switching colors, so I can't run effects on it. Again, this won't affect most users but if your use case requires cutting and extending any part of the wiring, don't expect these to perform properly. App control: incredibly responsive. Most of the time lights turn on/off instantly. I also have a bunch of Kasa bulbs, switches, and smart plugs, and they all work perfectly. Coming from a 1st generation Hue system (absolutely terrible reliability), Kasa leaves little to be desired. Here's what I wish they would change: 1. All my lights are scheduled to turn on some number of minutes after sunset, which I love. But the app only allows you to turn them on/off up to 59 minutes before/after sunset/sunrise. Why not add an hours wheel so you can have them turn off, say, 4 hours after sunset? 2. The claim of 16 million colors is a joke. Not that these 16-bit RGB LEDs aren't capable of it, but the app interface limits the color options profoundly. With a 2" color wheel on the app and a 3/4"-wide index finger, I'd be surprised if I could select more than 100 different colors. Until Kasa adds a 0-255 RGB slider interface, their "16 million" claim is more than a little disingenuous.

Replaced older LED strip that failed. Routed a channel in the underside of handrail and use electric that's on the other side of the drywall. Feels high quality but not super flexible (couldn't make a 90 degree turn on the underside of the handrail so only did a straight line and cut size to fit. Really like in the app the predefined effects and that you can create your own effects by editing any of the predefined effects.

La luz está muy buena, el que puedas tener múltiples puntos de color en una sola tira es un plus comparadas con otras. Lo único que le falta es que tengan un punto de memoria para recordar el último estado (on/off) para casos dónde se va la luz por corte de energía. Siempre se encienden al regresar la electricidad... Solo les falta eso y tendrían un 110

The adhesive is just as expected from such strips (Not good) but the upsetting part is that it says it Works with Smartthing and while it does not all functions are carried forward like lighting model and scenes or automation.

Facil de instalar, sus pegamentos son marca 3M por lo que la calidad esta garantizada, se prenden en bloques y todo se controla desde la Aplicacion KASA, genial!!

Resumen: Si no puedes quitar el papel protector utiliza pegamento. Buen producto, cumple con las características pero: este producto tiene adhesivo en la parte posterior con un papel protector (a manera de un sticker). Al yo estar retirándolo, el papel se rompió (ver fotos) y el resto se quedo pegado a la tira LED. Intenté quitar la película con las uñas, pero no funcionó (creo que el adhesivo ya estaba viejo), entonces decidí hacerle una pequeña incisión con una navaja para poder tomarlo con las uñas. Inmediatamente la tira LED se apagó a partir del corte en adelante. "No puede ser!" dije. Dos terceras partes de la tira quedaron inutilizables. ademas los LEDs cerca del corte quedaron permanentemente en azul, no responden a los ajustes. La incisión fue muy pequeña y la hice con mucho cuidado (ver las fotos), el circuito es realmente frágil. Dos estrellas menos porque no hubiera sucedido si el papel estuviera en buen estado, y porque los leds quedaron en azul.
