WD 1TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBUZG0010BBK-WESN

I bought a wd passport about 8 years ago and I have loved it. So I decided to stick with the company and bought this one. It is so much faster when transfering. No problems since it worked immediately with plug in. So far I am really happy with the new one. I have one for personal things like my college work and pictures. And now one for pictures I use for making things. Glad I bought this one.

Very easy to use, just plug in, download and it is ready to use. Would recommend.

I have the archaic Windows 7 operating system on my laptop with a lot of videos and pictures I had stored on it over a span of several years that I had periodically imported from my android. I wanted to back them up and was concerned about whether this external hard drive would be compatible with the old operating system. I plugged it in to the USB port and sent the pictures and videos over to the portable drive and double-checked by accessing those items randomly off of it. It didn't require any formatting. The price was reasonable. The result so far has been good.

Love these

Compact and size, heat level is fine if you don’t lay it down flat, very sturdy, works good

I picked this Elements based on the good reviews, and there were plenty of them! I just saved thousands of files from my 6 year old Windows laptop onto this Elements hard drive. Took just minutes to do it. Easy to move. I just plugged in the included cord to the Elements device, and the usb to my laptop, selected the file(s) I wanted to move, and then I moved them. You can copy them if you want to keep them on your computer, or you can move them and then delete the files you don’t want on your computer. This gave me peace of mind when I wanted to do some cleaning up on my old laptop. Now if I accidentally delete something I wasn’t supposed to, this Elements will have it all safe. I can transfer old photos to it, too. I have work files safely saved, and personal files safely saved. Now I can free up space on this old but reliable laptop. This elements is small and portable. It fits in my small hand—about 4-1/2 x 3 inches dimensions. Fast, easy, and you don’t have to be ‘tech savvy’ to use it. But don’t look to the instruction to help you—pretty much just a couple of photos to show you how to hook it up. But once you hook it up to your computer, you’ll easily figure it out. I didn’t have to format anything for my Windows laptop. I haven’t tried it on my Mac yet but when I do, I’ll come back if there was anything difficult or different I needed to do. Thanks for reading my review.

I bought this back in 2017. I would say I would dump pictures and videos from my phone every so often but never too many. 2024 I got married, well over 1,000 pictures and every single time the camera rolled from our videographer along with having a baby and dumping a completely full phone storage and this sucker is still not full. I can't imagine how many video, files, photos, and duplicates of everything I have on this thing. It's never failed, it's still running the same as the day I bought it. There's no noise, it doesn't heat up, and is well worth what I paid for. I felt like this needed to be reviewed after having it some time and can confidentially say this has been the best purchase. I keep it in a safe spot as it has my entire life on it.

Bought this 2-3 years ago and forgot to review it but I love this hard drive so much! It still works well and fits all my games, songs and movies on it at once. Easy to plug in and use as well. Made of a great material too so if it drops it doesn’t break instantly (I’m shading a pink one I bought some years back that broke easily) Of all the ones I’ve bought on Amazon, this is definitely a recommendation.

Works well
