As others have said, the trays and dome are very sturdy. I like that the dome is higher than others I've used so the seedlings can stay growing in the trays longer and grow stronger roots. The grow light is functional and is a nice feature making this package a good value. I had to scratch my head a bit as to how to use the jointed bar that came in the light box but I figured it out. One can use the light free standing instead of needing something to clamp it to. Some instructions or a picture would have been nice :) Overall I'm pleased! Now if spring would hurry up and come.

I was going to say the grow lights didn't last very long. Mine went out at about 32 days of use. I had it set for 12 hours on and 12 off. I was ready to toss it out since it was no longer under warranty. Luckily I tried a different USB plug head and the light now works! Just sharing this suggestion in case your lights quit working.

This is our second summer of using this for our starters and it is perfect. I love that it comes with the light and that the light has a timer. The only issue I have with it is it is really hard to get our starter plants out of here without them breaking. But there is no way of fixing that. Might just be user error too!

I have used this light/tray set for 3 years. I grow 50 tomato plants each year and the kit works perfectly.

We were excited to start some seedlings indoors for our garden, and ordered this set. We live on an island in Central America, so it takes 4 weeks and $30US for a freight forwarder to deliver Amazon orders to us, then $5US for water taxi delivery, meaning I am out about $70 total. Setup was easy, and the lights worked perfectly on a 12-hour timer....for exactly two weeks. Then, the control panel had light, but if I pushed the power button, the lights would quickly strobe and shut off. I tried different outlets, unplugging/replugging, and nothing worked. I read another review that mentioned changing the USB charger plug, and it worked! The lights came back on....for a whole 10 minutes. Now the control panel doesn't even light up. It's an absolute waste of a lot of money for me, and with the long shipping time, it's out of warranty, even if I were willing to pay $35 to ship it back. I'm so disappointed, and we have half-spouted trays of seedlings now that we'll probably lose, too. I considered reaching out to the seller before posting this negative review, however I see multiple reviews with the same issue, and that the seller does not respond to inquiries. Save your time, money, and frustrations and buy a different unit!

Nice and small but timer is backwards. 4 on 20 off, 8 on 16 off and 12 and 12 off. should be 20 on and 4 off 16 on and off and 12 and 12 off. but other than that, nice. Oh, can't use a timer of another kind to correct it either! Had this for a little over 2 1/2 months and lights burnt out. Lights needs to better.

I use it for my plans when it’s not enough sun

We bought this grow kit to start vegetables in the house, so they would be ready to go in the ground in the spring. It worked out very well. The grow-lamp in conjunction with the plastic cover created a nice humid atmosphere and the seeds took off. We are novice gardeners and this allowed us to start veggies from seeds, rather than purchasing plants at the nursery. Fun project and our grandchildren enjoyed being part of the process.

i received this produced and opened it plugged it in right away to make sure it worked but i didn't use it for about 2 weeks after using it for about 2 weeks the lights completely quit working seller said sorry past the 30 days so i basically paid over $100.00 for the tray

Dome was nice but light wasn’t completely working one of the top lights completely dud :(
