Will it fit an odyssey 2 ball putter?

I don't think so. It fits a blade putter or a very slight mallet putter. You won't get it on the odyssey.

will this work for a taylormade nubbins?

Don't own that putter but looking at the picture of one I am very confident that it will fit

What is used to fasten. Is it velcro?

NO Velcro....the putter boote slips onto the putter like a sock.

Will this work with a Ping Darby mallet putter?

We have a Taylor Made ma-81 Ghost Tour and it fits just fine. Your mallet is similar in shape so I think it would work. The material stretches nicely to the contours of the putter head.
