Instinct Freeze Dried Raw Meals Grain Free Recipe Cat Food 9.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I would say out of all the things I have purchased on Amazon, this is by far one of the best and most meaningful things I have bought... and the reason I say that is plain and simple... this food makes my cat the happiest she's been when it comes to meal time! 🤗❤️😸 Before this I was feeding her Fancy Feast, as well as Purina One kibble, which I would leave in her dish all day for her to nibble on when she was done with her Fancy Feast. She had some days where she would eat a lot, and then other days she seemed to be sick of the food. Then she came down with an illness in her gut that stopped her from absorbing nutrients, she lost her appetite, lost a lot of weight and looked very sickly. She's 15 years old, I was heartbroken and so convinced I was going to lose her. The vet couldn't figure out what was wrong even though several tests were done, so was giving her B12 shots to bring some of her nutrients back, which was helping a little bit but not much. Then a second vet decided it's time to try out an antibiotic to see if it would help. It did and her appetite came back, but she was still not putting on that much weight. I don't normally pay attention to ads, but one day I read an ad where this vet was talking about how cats are carnivores and freeze dried raw meals is best for them because regular cat food is heated so high to keep it from spoiling, and then with all the preservatives it lacks so many nutrients and actually makes cats ill after a while. He went on to discuss a product that he put out, and I looked for it on Amazon, but instead I came across Instinct, which is the same as what this veterinarian was referring to. I gave it a shot and gave it to my Bella both ways...in the dry pellet form that it comes in, and also moistened with water to make it more of a wet food. She absolutely loves it both ways and just can't get enough of it! Her eating habits have changed immensely! She has actually put on weight, you can see her coat has a beautiful shine, where she was losing hair it is now growing in and coming through beautifully! 🤗 Her eyes are bright, and she has so much energy that she's jumping up and down off the table now, 😲something she could not do before because she was too weak. She is playing a lot more and she even had the zoomies several times. 😂 She is 15 years old but yet she is running around like she is 2 years old! I give it to her usually wet in the morning, and then when I come home from work I fill up her dish with the dry pellets, and she cleans her dishes every time! Right now she is sleeping peacefully next to me on the couch, content because she has a full belly! 😹 This food is the best thing to ever happen and I am so grateful that it brought my beautiful little baby back to the way she was! It makes my heart happy to see her feeling so much better! 🤗😊💕😽

It is good for both cats a dogs. Won't use as a solo ingredient but it is a good protein source .

My cats didn’t like the food in its original pellet form, but licked their bowls clean when I crumbled it up! It’s super easy to crumble and they seemed to really enjoy it! I used it as an alternative while I was waiting for my cat’s food subscription to come in the mail, and it did not disappoint. I would buy this again.

Bags are tiny

The consistency is between a crunchy hard kibble and a soft kibble. Probably awesome for younger adult cats. BUT - Pieces are too large for older cats who have lost some or all of their teeth. My seniors liked the taste well enough, but I have to crush it and sprinkle it on their regular kibble. Can't just add it. Too much work, as I am also senior! So, won't be buying it again.
