The real deal
I bought two of these because I remember using them (or something very similar) in my Irrigation Science Lab decades ago at UC Davis. I've had them in place at 8" and 20" for two months and it is remarkable how sensitive and accurate they are! They are tracking soil moisture far more accurately than I actually need and provide fascinating snapshots of soil moisture near surface and in the root zone (in this case young oak). I promise you will learn something using these :-) Now that I have confidence in these sensors, I've bought several more. I'm hoping I get the full projected three year life out of them.
