A D&D twist on a traditional RWS Tarot. Perfect for Intermediate or advanced Practitioners
This Rider-Waite-Smith based tarot deck offers a cool twist by renaming the minor suits to D&D abilities: Strength (Wands), Intelligence (Swords), Wisdom (Cups), and Charisma (Pentacles), making it ideal for intermediate or advanced tarot users. The booklet is quite brief, so beginners might find it less helpful. A big plus: the newer version of the deck clearly shows the suit names on the cards, fixing a previous issue. The cardstock is high quality with a linen finish, making shuffling smooth and enjoyable. Overall, a creative and well-made deck for those familiar with tarot and D&D.

I was really excited about this one!
I was very excited about this deck, but when I received it, I had mixed feelings. I guess it would’ve been a bit different if I was playing D&D, but I’m mainly just into the fantasy art. So I can’t tell if it makes sense from the D&D point of view. However, I loved the art and was very curious to explore it. The texture is nice, but I wish it was slightly less reflective, so the colours could be more vibrant. Each card has a story to tell, it’s fascinating! I liked the guide book that comes with it too, I thought it complements the traditional ways of reading and adds some magic to the way this deck feels. The big downside for me was the fact that MAs are not named or indicated by symbols. It was really hard to tell at first what was what, hence 4 stars. I pre-ordered, so only found out about this when I received the deck, otherwise, I might’ve reconsidered purchasing it. It’s definitely not a beginner friendly deck, requires some experience unless you just want it for fun. I liked tho how MAs are mapped to abilities within the game.

Perfect gift
I brought these as a gift for my friends husband who is very in to D&D and spiritual stuff and it is quiet possibly the best gift I have ever given. He loved them. They are absolutely stunning and very good quality. Very high end and well worth the wait and money.

I love this set
My husband had purchased a set for me and my daughter wanted her own copy as she loved them that much. The images are beautiful and can be used as part of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for random encounters.

Missed opportunity and poorly executed
I can't recommend these unless you're into collecting D&D memorabilia for the sake of it. These cards fail on a number of levels. Firstly, they are a bit thin and all of mine came slightly warped. The bottom half, for some reason, are more warped than the top half. Secondly the backs of the cards aren't vertically symmetrical so when they are face down you can tell which ones are reversed; this makes them impossible to use as tarot cards. The little book that comes with them says that there is no reversed meaning of the cards, I presume because someone realised they had messed up. Could be there's no reversed meaning because they couldn't be bothered. Thirdly, there is nothing in the art of the cards to determine which suit they are. The art is good, but it is neither based on D&D (no more than the occasional elf, dwarf, or dragon) nor tarot suit imagery. They have also changed the suits from the classic Swords, Staves/Wands, Cups, and Coins to Strength, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma for what I can see is no reason whatsoever. I presume someone realised they had messed up and wrote some nonsense about changing the suit (unless someone can explain why a female smith crafting a sword should be the 8 of Charisma). Also, whilst the number is printed on the card, the suit isn't, so what this means in practice is that you have to find the minor arcana cards in the booklet to work out which is which. Reprinting the art in the little book means there is no room to expand the description of the cards. The art is gorgeous, but pointless. As much as it makes no sense from a tarot point of view, neither does it have any connection to D&D. I'm not sure who commissioned the artist, but they clearly didn't give them enough direction or review what art was being produced. Finally, there is a huge missed, or poorly executed, opportunity here. There's half an attempt to let you use the cards to generate adventure/encounter ideas (one idea per card), but it just doesn't execute this at all well. Because they had to repeat all of the art on the cards in the book so that you could work out which card is which I guess there wasn't room to flesh out the adventure creation idea. So what you have here is a disappointing cash grab and a missed opportunity to really produce something useful and iconic for D&D. There's no D&D art here (other than Tiamat, there's no beholders, no mimics, no gelatinous cubes, no D&D gods or iconic characters), no interesting adventure generator, no attempt to make D&D tarot cards. At best these are 78 art cards with a D&D logo. This product gets one star for the art.

Spedizione arrivata in anticipo, buon imballaggio.

I read a review saying the cards were thin? These are so thick i can barely hold the deck in one hand. They are super high quality. I love that I can use them as tarot cards or use them to build d&d adventures, d&d and tarot are my two favorite things. These cards are so far up my alley i feel like they were made for me.
