Reliable and Easy-to-Use Home Security Upgrade!
The Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor 2-pack is an excellent addition to my home security system. Installation was a breeze—setting them up with the Ring app took just minutes, and they seamlessly integrated into my existing Ring Alarm setup. The sensors are incredibly sensitive yet accurate. They easily detect the sound of glass breaking while avoiding false alarms from other household noises, giving me peace of mind without unnecessary disruptions. I tested them after installation, and they performed flawlessly. I also appreciate the compact design, which allows them to blend discreetly into any room. The battery life seems excellent so far, and with two sensors in the pack, I was able to cover multiple areas of my home effectively. For anyone invested in the Ring ecosystem or looking to enhance their home security, these glass break sensors are a must-have. They provide reliable protection, are easy to use, and are a great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Reassuring upgrade that seamlessly blends into my security setup
I recently added the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor (2-pack) to my smart home security system, and from day one it’s been a quietly powerful addition. The installation was straightforward—it mounted easily in the recommended position near a window without tools beyond the included adhesive strip (though screws are optional). Right out of the box it paired seamlessly with my Ring Alarm Base Station and popped up in the app with zero fuss. Setting up sensitivity and the detection zones took just minutes, and once configured it's been rock-solid. What truly impressed me is how reliable the sensor is. Instead of just detecting vibration or sound, this one monitors the characteristic shattering frequency of glass—meaning it’s less likely to send false alarms from wind-blown branches or everyday household noises. I've tested it by tapping glasses gently and trying normal ambient window noise, and it doesn’t trigger incorrectly. When I liberally tapped a pane for testing (don’t worry—I wasn’t actually breaking anything), the sensor responded instantly and the alert came through my phone in seconds. That accuracy gives me real confidence that it will perform when it matters. Beyond the technical fidelity, the design and usability are great. The housing is compact and discreet — it blends into window trim without drawing attention. The battery life is also excellent; weeks in, the status still shows “Good” and I haven’t had to mess with it at all. The alert system is solid too—the app notifies me and the alarm hub immediately, even when I’m away. For peace of mind regarding ground-floor windows or second-floor ones accessible via ladder, having these sensors is an excellent layer of protection. If you use a Ring system (or are looking to build one) and want reliable detection for glass breakage without endless false positives, this sensor pack gets a full five stars from me. It’s easy to install, highly effective, and genuinely adds meaningful security rather than being just another accessory. Highly recommended.

Buying additional extenders hoping it solves the problem.
Update. After adding the extenders, they still did not respond. Ring customer service updated the extenders and then said to return Amazon's sensors and buy from them. I did not do this, because they also said that the sensors are not meant to respond to audio tracks. He said they listen for the break and then the crash to the ground. I decided to test them again with dropping silverware onto the floor. Each one separately responded. My only concern is that some of them are over carpet and if the glass hits the carpet, it may not pick up the sound. But as far as I can tell, the added extenders seem to have done the job. Raising my review from a 1 to a 4. I am embarrassed to tell you how many ring items I have currently on my two properties. I have cameras. I have the alarm systems. I have sensors - contact and motion. I have drank the Kool-Aid and just keep on buying. I found out after starting the installation process of a new ring alarm system that I actually have a physical alarm system already installed here hardwired into my house. A little reluctantly, I opted to go ahead with the ring system, since I had all the parts in hand, and the monitoring was less expensive. One thing that the hardwired system offered was glass break and I decided to seek that out specifically to try to bring the system up to par with the hardwired one. I bought four glass brake sensors - two x two packs. I actually shattered glass in my house multiple times and only one sensor alarmed one time. Then, I used a glass break video on YouTube and none of the sensors alarmed. I contacted customer service and was on the phone with them for over an hour and a half. Ultimately, even with one of the sensors right next to the base station not alarming, the rep told me that she thinks the problem is that I don’t have enough extenders. Tried placing them higher on the wall per her suggestion (ripping paint off the wall moving it from a little lower location and with no success.) I have since purchased two additional extenders, and I will update my review once I receive those two extenders. This will be a total of three extenders in my home for a total of four glass break alarms. My house is about 6200 sq feet, but the alarms are not so spread out. I'm not sure why an extender should help the alarm sound more than the base station, but she made it sound like that was a possibility. The sensor would not sound sitting right next to the base, and she said my signal was wavering in and out, and I needed the extenders. Again, I will update once I have the extenders in place - at this point they are paperweights. I am so deeply disappointed. I was actually concerned about them being too sensitive because we have birds in the house. Will report back later, hopefully able to change my rating.

Handy Practical Device
This works as intended. We bought this because we have a back door that is complete glass. We have it sitting on a window sill. It has been triggered several times by our child dropping toys off her high chair. It just sends us a notification that the glass break sensor went off, it doesn’t make a noise or anything. I don’t know if that is a setting you can adjust or not. Very easy to use and practical. Nice when you have more ring devices. We have had no issues with ours. I would recommend.

I've integrated several of these Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensors into my home Ring alarm system, and they've been a fantastic addition, providing an extra layer of security and peace of mind. So far, they have worked flawlessly. Thankfully, I haven't had an actual break-in to test their primary function, but they integrate seamlessly with the Ring Alarm system, and testing them is straightforward. One of the standout features for me has been the battery life. I've had these installed for over a year now, and the original batteries are still going strong. That's a big plus, as frequent battery changes in multiple sensors can be a hassle. Installation was incredibly easy. You have the option to mount them on the wall or ceiling, and the process took just a few minutes per sensor. Pairing them with the Ring Alarm base station was also quick and intuitive through the Ring app. If you have a Ring Alarm system, I highly recommend adding these Glass Break Sensors, especially for rooms with multiple windows or glass doors. They are reliable, have excellent battery life, and are super easy to install.

Works very well. Thankfully never had to rely on it in a real scenario, but it has triggered a few times from dropping glass so I know it is working. Easy to test at least.

Had the alarm installed with these detectors and upon breaking a wine glass accidentally - it did trigger the window break sensor to send a siren alarm signal thinking there was a break in. It was set at home mode at the time. So definitely a good option for when you're away and need that extra precaution. Especially nowadays with increase of break ins.

I am not the biggest fan of Ring Cameras but the Ring alarm has been flawless. I have pretty much all the add-ons except for the break sensor and the water/freeze sensor. The glass break sensor is pretty solid and very high quality. It takes 3 AA batteries which are very easily replaced. Connecting it to the ring app was beyond easy, you just hold the button down for a couple seconds then use the QR code to add it to the app and away you go. No complaints and it just works and integrates flawlessly. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price being a little to high in my opinion.

This sensor was easy to integrate into the Ring Alarm System. It only works if you have the base station. The sensor is slim and you forget its on the wall. It provides good peace of mind and a long range which was the perfect solution for large windows where contact sensors couldnt be used. Be mindful of doing dishes near this whole the system is armed. The noise of glass or dishes in the sink might trigger it and scare you.
