Helpful Tool for Ice Fishing
I bought this camera in early December 2019. It worked awesome the first few times we used it. The picture was really clear and it definitely helped in being able to see fish approaching your bait. It also is nice to identify what the bed looks like so you can find the reefs or weeds you want to fish by. Obviously the water clarity plays a big role, but even in murkier water I was still able to see my lure. We did end up purchasing a tripod to set it on as it can be hard to get the camera in the position you want without having something to help control the cord. The main problem I have is that in Feb 2020 - so only 2 months after purchase, the unit already broke. When I turn it on it just goes to a blue screen. Marcum does have a warranty so I will be sending it in. Hopefully since Marcum is a well known brand they will stand by their product and fix it for us, otherwise I will need to revise my review to 1 start. When it works it was great, but kind of sad it only lasted 2 months.

Nice unit
Works right out of the box and seems to be good. We have bad ice right now so have not used a lot.

Nice addition
This is a cool product if you use it in conjunction with a flasher. Itโs not going to help you locate fish, but will help you hook those light biters, panfish, crappies etc. picture clarity varies on water quality. If you buy this product buy mounting hardware...some sort of goose neck otherwise your holding it or itโs in your lap. I returned and replaced with a Marcum Lx-9.

Compact camera but not totally sold on it!
I had read many reviews on this Marcum camera and was really excited to actually have one and give it a try. I am, however, not exactly sold on the functionality of the camera. The snap that you use to change the position of the camera is extremely difficult to open and close and therefore changing the position is not easily done, particularly if you don't have a pair of pliers and trying to use bare hands. The first time that I used the camera we were in 15 feet of water and I tried the camera with lens pointing down. the camera did not hold straight down due to the stiffness of the plastic that comes out of the camera. I did get a suitable picture of the bottom as I hung the camera about 10 feet down but it was hard to locate my jig and I could only get it on the outside of the picture. Getting the camera into position and keeping it there is very tricky and you need to have a means to keep it in position. The next time out I was in 30 feet of water. I decided this time to try putting the camera down another hole from my jig and use it in the horizontal mode. When I lowered the camera down the picture was cloudy and I couldn't see anything below 15 feet as the water was slightly stained. I tried using it in IR mode and still nothing. I brought the camera back up, turned it off, packed it away and just used my sonar. I also found that winding the cable back up is not easy and charging is inconvenient due to the location of the charging port under the first several turns of the cable. If you are always fishing in clear water then I suppose that this camera will do the trick, but if you are expecting clear pictures like in the advertising and you are fishing in less than ideal conditions, then forget it. I also had difficulty turning the camera off and when I charged it after my first outing I thought I had it turned off but when I got to my fishing spot that morning the camera was warm and down to 1/3 charge as it had not turned off.

Not good, does not work
This item is not what I expected has advertised cause the camera wouldnโt really come on cause I donโt know how to get by with this blue screen which all Iโm getting..

Control
Picture quality was reall y good and unit is easy to use. the only real issue for me was the ability to control the direction of the camera underwater to view specific areas.
