I have a ductless mini split serving a small accessory dwelling with a loft. Since the motorized louvers on the wall unit can't be directed any higher than straight out, keeping the loft comfortable required a fan to keep air circulating. With this adjustable angle louver, the air can be perfectly aimed upward to send cool air up to the loft where it is needed most during the summer. The clear panel looks nice and unobtrusive. Installation was easy, although slipping the brackets behind the wall unit housing seemed slightly flimsy without any screws. It seems fine that way, although I would screw the brackets in to the wall if there was more of a chance that rowdy kids (or adults) might throw something that hits it.

I was on the fence about buying this product because it seemed pricey, but once out of the box it was very easy to install. I did not have to drill, just placed the all the items like shown in the video tutorial and it was ready. Took me 10 minutes to set it up and it works like magic.

Once installed it looks great and works well. Installation isn't great. There simply aren't any instructions. There are some weird washed out pictures on the box that are very difficult to see, because they use a dull yellow font that is nearly impossible to see, even in a bright room. The kit includes two clear plexiglass panels to deflect the airflow. I have a small 9,000 BTU mini-split and only needed to use one of the panels. I made the mistake of thinking that it required both panels. In the video they provided on the Amazon listing, it looks like the panels are supposed to slide back and forth for easy adjustment--once you put the clips on the top/bottom to connect the two pieces IT WILL NO LONGER SLIDE. I cannot stress enough that you need to get the correct measurement before clipping the panels together. Once you realize that the panels aren't going to adjust AT ALL, you have to go through the insane process of trying to separate them again. Somehow, this company was able to use the flimsiest plastic on the planet to create the securist bond known to man. When you realize the the size needs to be adjusted, and the clips need to be removed you will start regretting every life choice you have ever made. If you exert too much pressure, the clips will snap, plus you have to worry about scratching the clear panels. It took about an hour just to remove one of the stupid clips. And if you snap it, they don't provide extras. It was such a nightmare that I almost chucked it back into the box and sent it back. But even that is a problem because id you can't adjust it, then it doesn't fit in the box any longer. Once I actually measured, I found that I only needed to use a single panel, which made the rest of the installation easier. There are two other things that are really weird. The first is that the video makes you believe that the panels smoothly adjust in a 360 arc. It is NOT smooth. It is VERY stiff. And each time I have to adjust it, it feels like it's going to break. The second weird thing is that I had to put the arms on upside down. When my mini-split is on the airflow panel goes straight down, and when I had the arms the right side up, it didn't block the airflow. Like, at all. Which is really weird. Luckily, it does allow it to be put on upside down. It's just a pain to have to take everything apart, because everything on this product is both flimsy and super secure. Do I recommend this product? Kind of. Once everything is together it's amazing. Works great. I'm sure that if you are one of those handyman type people that loves tools and stuff, this won't be very difficult. But if you are the other type of person, the kind that has to use a butter knife because you have managed to lose every flat tipped screwdriver that you've ever owned, then it is a little more challenging.

This has done a perfect job of deflecting cold air from our minisplit, which had been blowing directly on me all night no matter how I tried to redirect the air on the unit itself. I am no longer miserable sleeping in the a/c!! I may be ordering more for other room units. Husband installed it fairly easily. Good product. Does the job.

The written instructions didn’t make sense for me, and it’s not intuitive to put together. My first one took me about 15 minutes to install. INSTANTLY I loved it - I have two splits in my upstairs bedrooms and I could NOT stop them from blowing right onto the beds, giving sleepers headaches. This baffle truly allows much more control of the airflow and looks fine. There’s more forcing than I enjoy in a plastic product, but it seems like it will hold up. Bottom line, be prepared to struggle with the first one, but get through it.

big, bulky. ugly and difficult to take down and put up. it fell and broke the first time I attempted to take it down without a step stool. I replaced it with a $20 deflector that actually works good!

I don’t understand the reviews upset with the instructions. The instructions are on the box in English. Installation is simple and straightforward. It took me about 10 minutes to install and it works perfectly. Fully adjustable to size of the unit and to direct airflow. Buy one if you need one. I’m satisfied.

I have a mini split installed in my kitchen and before purchasing this i had to turn it off every time we wanted to have dinner. With this I no longer need to shut it off. Instructions in the box would be nice but i was easily able to put it together by looking at the photos.
