They really do work.. make sure youโre strict and know what throws you off
So I want to start out by saying that Iโve been on keto for exactly 15 days today and Iโve never felt the way I feel now in a very long time.. I am also on a very strict keto diet which by the way I no longer say diet but lifestyle because I donโt believe Iโll ever go back to my old habits, well I started out with my sisters ketone urine strips she gets prescribed because sheโs a type one diabetic and within a couple days wanted to be accurate with my readings and got the keto mojo meter which works great for me and is always accurate I believe, and so did my sisters strips but I saw the controversy between these urine strips (perfect keto) and kiss my keto urine strips and was intrigued and really wanted to know if maybe they do show a different result and weโll I bought both and used both and dipped in the same cup of urine at the same time and then let kiss my keto cure for 15 seconds as directed and perfect keto for 40 seconds as directed and low and behold.. they were the exact same reading also did my ketone and glucose with keto mojo and calculated my GKI.. so safe to say all 3 work marvelous.. at least for me if itโs not working maybe try checking out what youโre eating maybe something is throwing it off without you realizing it took me a couple days figuring out that eating 3 small grape tomorrowโs throws me off not kicks me off my Ketosis but throws me off and so Iโve stopped eating tomatoes and will occasionally eat a few when I break my fast which usually happens around 1-2pm and I IF usually 24:0 or 20:4, 16:8 works for me as well but I donโt really feel hungry.. in 15 days Iโve lost 18.2 pounds and 7 inches all around which for me is great.. Iโve done keto before and it worked but never was serious about it this time around I am so serious because I want to live to see my son grow up and do everything you live to watch your children do.. hope this helps someone!

Easy to use, easy to read!
I just started the keto diet 8 days ago and . . . down 8 pounds. I understand at this point it's water/inflammation but in 20 years I've not had that kind of success on ANY diet -- the weight always held steady after a couple days and then started the slow upward climb. So I decided I should get serious about this and figure out exactly where I was at and what I was doing (ha!) I ordered these strips because let's face it . . . no one WANTS to prick their finger for a blood test, and the breath tests are just too dang expensive. I've used these a couple days and they couldn't be easier. Just dip them in your pee, count to 40 and check the color. Works just like water tests for an aquarium if you've tried them. And even better -- MUCH more affordable than the other two options! Thanks!

They work. Until they don't
These are great. They give you an accurate gauge of where you're at in the keto-scheme of things....am I in? Not yet? They work. The only problem, for me, is that I go on and off "keto." I'll do it religiously for 6 weeks, and then I take a little break. I always return. But when I return, the sticks no longer work. This has happened with 2 bottles. I still have 5 months before they reach their expiration, I have plenty left in the bottle, they've been properly sealed and stored, but they no longer work. There is no change of color whatsoever when I ..... you know. So I buy another bottle and compare, and Voila! The new one works and I'm back in ketosis. The upside of this is that the price is great. So I'm not really complaining about it....more letting those of you who aren't keto-dedicated know that it might not be you....it might be the sticks.

Updated review!
Updated review 6/18/24 After posting my initial review, see below, the company reached out to me. After discussing the issue with the product they reminded me that they are very sensitive to any humidity. But also offered to send a replacement. I just used them and it immediately registered 1.5 mM range of ketones! The previous batch was likely a combination of a bad batch and my accidentally exposing them to too much humidity. I am thrilled to finally show ketones. I have kept my total carbs under 50 g following vacation for three solid days and I'm glad to see my body is using fate effectively. I appreciate this company and have other products from them as well. I highly recommend just don't store them near or in a bathroom! Original review: I was doing low carb, working out, and supplementing with exogenous ketones. These never showed anything last the lowest yellow color that indicates, "none". I know I was in ketosis, and was aiming for a mild state. Frustrating to spend money and them not work.

Can expire quickly
Many products have expiration dates but I've found you can often continue to use those products after that time. Be aware that these strips do expire. I thought I wasn't in ketosis for a long time because the strips didn't change color. I was suspicious that they expired so I bought a second bottle which worked great. Now that I can compare the new and the old strips, I can see that the old strips are visibly dry and cracked. Since they are so inexpensive, it probably doesn't matter but it's good to know this beforehand. *update* the new bottle I bought expired within 3 months. I always closed it right away yet the strips stopped changing color. I bought a third bottle and compared it to my second bottle. The attached photo shows the two strips (new and 3 months old) which tested the same sample. You can see that only one of them (the new one) indicated ketosis. I would give 1-2 stars except for the fact that a bottle of these strips is so cheap. But they should come in small vacuum sealed pouches so they last longer.

Easy to use, Easy to understand, Reliable
These are the only test strips I will ever use when I'm doing a Keto diet. These are the only Keto test strips that leave results that I feel 100% confident in. I will actually go without testing if I run out until I buy a new pack. I believe that tracking and testing when losing weight, even if you only look at these test strips, is critical to determine how your body is responding and what state it is in. If you get test strips that give you the wrong results, you may proceed in the wrong direction and find you're not getting the results you were looking for. Losing weight can be difficult enough. That is why I will only ever stick to these test strips during Keto. I actually used these when I did a weight loss challenge. By using these strips, I was able to determine exactly how my body was reacting to the diet and whether or not I was in Keto. By using these as a baseline, I lost 21 total inches and 14 lbs and won first place. I will never use different strips during Keto.

Terribly Inaccurrate Knockoff Ketone Sticks!
Okay, I meant to write this review months ago, but I put it off and forgot about it. By the way, I enclosed a few pictures to make my point. So take a look at them to see what I'm talking about. First, I really, really wanted these test strips to be good! The name brand, Ketostix, are very expensive, like 4 times the price, since the 50 strip retail pack costs about double that of the "Perfect Keto Strips", containing half the amount. The first batch was dubiously accurate, but serviceable, with some "fixing" on my part. But I was able to at least use them. I will explain the "fixing" in a minute. I ordered another one for the purposes of a low price backup about a month later based on the incredible discounted price, under the "You get what you paid for" mantra. I would have been fine if they were like the first, since the saving are quite substantial. However, that second batch was, quite simply, worthless. I probably should have returned them, but for $7.99, I couldn't honestly be bothered going through the hassle of the Amazon return procedures, not to mention boxing it up and mailing it back, even with the return postage paid by Amazon. The problem with the second batch is that they were a light shade of purple almost from the second I received them. I had actually lent the first batch to a friend, which is why I had opened the second one. If you look at the first picture I uploaded, you will see a shot of a bunch of the dry, never used purple "Perfect Ketone Testing Strips" above the name brand Ketostix. Notice that the color of the store bought one is neutral, indicating no ketones, of course, since it has not been passed through a stream of urine. The other ones look like they have been tested and all positive, even though, like the Ketostix strip, they were not used. They don't change color at all from that purple, by the way, or I might have been willing to overlook the dry color, though probably not. Because even if they seemed to work, can I really trust the accuracy of a stick that starts out showing positive for ketones even while dry? Okay, so that's the scoop on the second, defective batch. For the first batch, I mentioned above that I had to sort of apply a little fix. I want to call your attention to pictures 2 and 3 of the ones I uploaded. The smaller bottle, which is the Ketostix while the larger one is the Perfect Ketone Test Strips. Take a look at the color chart on the larger bottle. Notice that the colors are just off enough to render reading them almost impossible for all but the deepest levels of ketosis. I mean, of course, deep purple is deep purple, right? No ambiguity there. The caveat here is that MANY people like me don't bother trying to get deep into ketosis to turn it so dark purple that you don't even really need the chart. When I am dieting, I always hover around "trace" and "small" for the most part. Unless I am being more aggressive in that phase of my diet. Now looking at those pics, notice that the colors on the one I am reviewing are darker and richer than the Ketostix. This may look great on the package, and maybe even is a good selling point, BUT it is a terrible chart to measure ketones, particularly at a lower level of ketosis. When I hold a currently in-use (read: peed on) stick against the chart that came with these, it is maddeningly impossible to tell where I'm at. Because the colors for "Negative," "Trace," and even small are so pink. Yes even the "Negative" is a little pink! Look at the side-by-side comparison. Note that the second comparison picture, the vertical one, is much more illustrative of what I'm talking about. Even in ketosis, my stick looks like it is some sort of combination of all three colors. Its maddening. When I line up the strip (either the Ketostix or the "good" batch I first ordered in May) with the chart on the Ketostix, it is easy and unequivocal what state of ketosis I am in. The difference is startling actually. Anyway, I would be wary of this brand, and if you really want to save the money, simply make sure you have an old, possibly even empty, bottle of ketostix and use that to measure your ketosis even when using Perfect Ketone Test Strips. Unless you get a batch like my second one, which was useless. Then either grin and bear it, or send it back. As I said, assuming you get a good batch, the sticks are serviceable, but someone at the company that makes these really needs to fix the color chart on the bottle so its more like Ketostix! Oh, and one more thing: If you look at the last picture, the expiration date on the bottle is 2021, which means that even if I opened them just now, and not the 8 months ago I actually did, they should still be good.

Ketosis established - no need for perfect meter results - These keep me in the zone.
Pro: I love the convenience of these and I find that you don't need 40 seconds to read (unless perhaps you're 'wishing to be in ketosis"). I don't use a cup. Just mid-stream I'm not OCD (heh he says) but when starting Keto (2.5# per week with Chronometer) I bought a meter so I could track accurately. That worked fine - and I am/was also pre-diabetic. So I was pricking and measuring both ketones and glucose daily. I didn't use the meter app much - but tracked hard until I got into the 1-2 range. But then when I pretty much stayed there - ? wOw, Ok, I'm not a wimp but still the process, cost ($1.20 for both strips per day), to find that (1) My Ketosis was solid close to 1.5, and Glucose was doing well and trending out of pre-diabetes (still anxious to see my A1C), So I Was still loving the meter - but - pondering the strips - and Keto Mojo changed their meter design - I started looking. Checked around. And found these. PRO: Quick and easy to use - fast enough unless perhaps you're at the low end of the scale. CON: Wish the color chart more closely matched the strips. It's not a huge issue - but I've never found an indicator strip (including aquarium) that closely matched. Here it's mostly hue but still. So you won't know if you're 1.4 or 1.7 but more that you're say > 1 and < 2. Which unless you're dialing in a meal is just fine. Summary: If you want to know exactly spot check - then get the meter. it'll also help if you need glucose at that time. If you want to know if you're doing well in Ketosis - then these are far less expensive and very adequate for tracking your continued success on Ketosis.

Not reliable
Poor readings, unreliable. I'm starting to be able to sense what level of ketosis I'm in. 2 other brands of keto test strips reflect where I feel I'm at and match each other on results. This brand is way out every time.
