Crunchy and fresh, but slightly salty
This popcorn is a great snack for movie nights or when I want something light but satisfying. The kernels pop well, leaving very few unpopped ones at the bottom, which I really appreciate. The texture is crunchy and not too hard, and it tastes fresh right out of the bag. I also like that it doesnโt feel overly greasy compared to some other brands. On the downside, itโs a bit saltier than I prefer, so I usually have a drink nearby. The bag size could also be a little larger. Overall, itโs a tasty, convenient snack thatโs easy to enjoy and share!

Good, fast, healthy popcorn.
I always keep this in the house. Very tasty and a healthier option compared to most microwave popcorns.

Nice portion size and decent value
I had forgotten that microwave popcorn was still around and figured Iโd give this a try again. Not a lot of butter flavor, but not too salty, which I prefer. Decent value.

Good snack option for volume eaters, though need to be alert on sodium intake
Iโve always been a huge fan of popcorn as a light and satisfying snack, but I'm too lazy to pop kernels on the stove manually, and most microwave-able options from other brands are quite dense in calories, even the non-buttery versions. I discovered Orville's Smartpops when I was looking for a middle ground, and seeing its competitive price point (12 bags for $4.88), I decided to give it a try. The butter flavor is surprisingly rich for a popcorn that's supposed to be โlightโ and a tad bit healthier. You still get that classic buttery taste, sans the excess calories, (only 240 calories per bag!) or fat found in other microwave popcorn. However, as "no free lunch theorem" would propose, while it scores high for succeeding to become a delicious yet low-calorie snack, I did find the ingredient list to be quite concerning. I was surprised to see some extras such as palm oil, color added (annatto), and mixed tocopherols being written on the ingredients list; when I was expecting something much more compact. I understand that some preservatives are necessary to keep such products shelf-stable, but it feels like an option that's marketed as a healthy-alternative could be kept a little cleaner. Another thing worth noting is the sodium level. At around 340mg per serving, itโs not outrageously high compared to some other snack options, but if youโre eating it frequently at high volumes, that sodium can reeaally add up. So don't be tricked by the low calories, portion control is still needed! Itโs worth keeping an eye on if youโre sensitive to salt or trying to manage your sodium intake. Overall, smartpop's a good choice for anyone looking for a tasty, low-calorie snack option. However, its not the healthiest option on the market, and be mindful of the bloated ingredient list and the sodium content if you plan to eat this frequently. Iโll definitely keep enjoying this in moderation, but I do wish it was a little more natural and lower in sodium.

A perfect snack!
They have just the right amount of butter flavoring. My friends and I get together for movie night and we all enjoy Orville Redenbacher's popcorn. The kernels burst into tender, almost hull-free and delicious popcorn.

Quality and value
The popcorn is always fresh, individually wrapped in singleserve, low calorie bags with just the right amount of salt. It's delivered in its original box, pops great and, its a better price than Walmart.

Best option for what it is
Itโs going to be less flavourful compared to normal popcorn, but if you are trying to watch your trans fat, itโs the best option out there.
