Great Motherboard.
I will start by saying that I am not a huge overclocker. I have done some but I don't go to crazy extremes with it. This is a ROG motherboard that is seriously dedicated to gamers/overclockers/enthusiast. In the BIOS it comes with tools that will auto clock your CPU for you under reliable test. I am currently at 14% overclock based on a stock program and am thrilled with that. This is a EATX motherboard so be sure you are aware of that which that means this board is HUGE. I was able to fit it into a P90 open air case from thermaltake with ease but not every case will be as lucky as to make this work for them. It was super easy to install and hook up with most of your plugs going where you are used to. One thing that was different and i absolutely love is the USB 3.0 hook up is on the same side as your 24 pin connection. The reason I love this is it just makes more sense with my case and I was able to run the wires much nicer but not everyone is going to feel that way clearly. If you are an RGB person which I just so happen to be this case got so many lights on it that are super bright and really make my case POP even more. I have not figured out how to control the lights and in truth im not even 100% sure I can it says Aura Syn which I have downloaded but I could be missing something. Currently they are on color cycle which is actually fine by me because that's how i typically run my lights anyway. This MOBO is super sturdy I loved how rigid it was when I was unboxing it it feels of some serious quality. There are so many things this MOBO can do that none of my other ones could ever do. The only drawback is there is only 2 ram slots so 16gb is what you can max out at. For me this is not an issue as I feel my 16gb of 2400 are more than enough for my needs and if I ever want to I can always upgrade to faster ram. All in All I feel like this MOBO is absolutely perfect. Bios was easy to get up and running, lights look beautiful, strong build material, tons of overclock options, tons of headers on the board as well. I haven't fully put the board through its paces nor have I tested out some of the other onboard features but i'm sure I will. Fantastic board. Everything worked exceptionally well right out of ...
Fantastic board. Everything worked exceptionally well right out of the box with my Intel i7 7700K CPU. High quality materials, excellent board layout and configuration. This board is an EATX, however, it still fit inside my ATX case - the Thermaltake Core X31 Riing RGB Edition without any issues. LOVE this board! Users/instruction manual is very well put together. Software DVD is easy to use/install. RGB lighting is excellent and controllable via software. One thing though... sometimes the RGB app forgets that I have configured the RGB lighting to be "off" during power off mode. I need to go back in and select the option again. ASUS has been my #1 choice for years!!! Thank you ASUS! Now I am patiently waiting for the newest ROG Rampage VI Apex board to become available, at a reasonable price when price gouging for the product is halted, hopefully. Why do some resellers price gouge new products when more honest resellers offer it at market price??? Did they even imagine that I can purchase the newest Rampage VI Apex at (rhymes with) egg.com? Think again, price gougers!

Love this motherboard. I game with this rig now works great.
I did have a bit of a hard time the M.2 raid setup to work. Once I got it figured out it worked with our a hitch. Only complaint this version of the board only has 2 memory slots. ASUS makes better version of this boards however everyone was out of stock on them at the time.

ASUS never fails to impress me!
This board is ferocious. I could tell just by looking at it that it's built with very good quality. The included IO shield is quite fancy. It runs like a dream, paired with my i7 6700K, and it does so in style with its fancy LEDs. This board only has two DIMM slots, but honestly 32GB of RAM is already overkill for my purposes. The BIOS offers a huge number of options for performance tweaking and overclocking, though I just leave everything on auto mode because I'm a newbie. It comes with a DIMM.2 riser card, which could be handy if I ever decide to integrate M.2 drives into my system. Other notes: - Has a built-in IO so it can be used with test benches - Uses a digital Q code screen rather than a speaker for more detailed status codes - Comes with an SLI bridge - Also comes with a free coaster! +1 for unrelated freebies

Shady companies
So I noticed I had 2 bent pins on my old mobo. Instead of attempting to fix it, I decided to upgrade the board. Unfortunately there were close to zero options as this was during the covid shutdown. I'm sure you've all noticed shortages and the ridiculous price mark ups north of 100%. This company was no different. They had a board I could use and the mark up was tolerable, so I went for it. This board was advertised as new, and I paid over retail value for NEW. However when I received this board, I noticed some lights were not exactly working properly. I thought ok maybe it's slightly defective, but said light bar was hidden behind my SLI bridge so not a huge deal. Then I start looking into the LN2 options for this board just out of curiosity. Because that's essentially the purpose of this board, to be used with LN2 cooling. I however am not that guy, I only bought it because it's compatible and I had no options. I notice that LN2 jumpers are missing, indicating that someone removed it and used LN2 mode. Also missing jumpers to enable or disable light bars missing. And yes these are included and in the off position when unboxing the board. There are a few thing like this that all lead to this board has been used and cleaned. TLDR: Be very weary of purchasing hardware until factories have somewhat recovered. Not only are companies selling used products as new, but if you do get a new product, chances are the quality may not be on par as well.

Once you go ASUS you don't go back
I'll start by saying that I'm new to intel. I'm rocking a i7-7700K. I came over from an AMD FX 8350 on the Crosshair V Formula Z. I started with an MSI budget board for the I7. The Z270 A Pro. I had problems with the MSI board from the start. It did this weird thing with the front panel power switch where it wouldn't work for about the first 10 minutes of having everything plugged in and then would to my surprise it would just boot. ASUS however is just plug and play. The thing that really caught me off guard is with the first boot into BIOS in EZ mode (I know...) they literally have a overclocking guide that will recommend a stable CPU overclock which I've actually decided to run with and have had no problems. Plus the RGB looks awesome in my NZXT H700 with the huge tempered glass panel. TLDR: ASUS just breathes quality and I wouldn't recommend anything different to anyone. Call me a fanboy but I've been impressed with both motherboards I've had from ASUS. Plus, it makes for an awesome nightlight with the RGB when the PC is turned off.

Good value for the money but some caveats for eATX
For an eATX motherboard Asus made some disappointing design choices: 1. No built-in WiFi 2. Only 2 RAM slots. The space normally used for the other 2 was instead used for an M.2 slot that sits on an adapter that sits on a DIMM like slot. 3. Tight space between cards if you want to do SLI or Crossfire. With that said, all other features are what you expect. I had bad luck and my MoBo came with 2 dud PCIe ports so I had to RMA it. But I have another on running without troubles.

Awesome Motherboard
This motherboard has been rock solid so far, I paid around $175AUD (New) on one of them cheap day sales and been using it for around 1 month now, this was an upgrade for my 7700k which has been housed in a Asus Z170-AR. The RGB lighting is a nice touch and works well and very vivid, the Dimm.2 slot is a great feature and gets the M.2 drive off the motherboard and will probably help with heat dissipation, the X shape of the board is unique which i like very much, happy with my Asus IX Apex purchase.

Arrived in bad condition - Great product from Asus however
Bought as a new product but was clearly used. Thermal paste on CPU bracket, missing I/O panel and stickers missing from box. Motherboard itself is great, works fine and does everything advertised. One star is for seller, not for product - buy it elsewhere.
