Perfect for those situations where you've got a ton of XLR balanced mic cords available, but your board uses 1/4" TRS output jacks to save space, or uses XLR jacks only for the main outputs and you need to connect to an aux or control room output. But do be aware that the XLR connector is significantly wider so these might not work where two 1/4" TRS jacks that you need to use are closely spaced to each other (In those cases corded adapters will be needed.). These units are reasonably sturdy and have worked well.
