Blows through 1/8" steel plate like it's wood. I cut a few pieces out of 4' x 8' plate, and this thing didn't even flinch. Cuts perfectly straight, too. Oh, and the part about being burr-free? Yeah, that's pretty-much true. Undoubtedly, there'll be some "Einstein" who'll write something like: "Well, there are some burrs, so its not burr free." Fact is, it leaves a cut that as a burr free as you're gonna get absent a shear. I ran a file across the edge but didn't really need to. Incredible saw and reasonably priced.

This is a true metal cutting saw. It cuts so much better than the wood cutting saws and cuts better.

Solid performer. Fence is slightly flimsy (plastic), the cut gauge is like learning a new language. I bought spare 8.25" Olsen steel cutting blade. I think I can send them out to resharpened. Collects about 80% of the chips. Wear gloves, the reservoir gets hot from the chips. Cuts smooth as glass. Very noisy, wear earplugs

Cuts 3/8 steel kate like butter. Plasma cutter not going to see as much action.

35 ft of 1/2 mild steel plate and blade still chipping away like a champ. This is the coolest saw ever. Chip debris is easy to clean up and cut edges are clean and crisp!

I used the 7.25 version for a couple years, but finally burned it up. Im not blaming it at all, i cut a ton with it, including 1.25" solid steel plate. I finally ordered the 8.25, and was real happy with it. The new chip shield/ collector reduced the amount of chips that hit you by a lot, i only had a few burn me. Also the light a shadow line are a nice addition. I opened it and immediately ripped around 50 linear feet of 1/4" steel with zero issues. If you run a fab shop, this os definitely a time saver, and gives a clean finish. Just a heads up, it is extremely loud. I usually work with noise canceling earbuds, so it doesnt bother me.

Used it right out the box to the box to cut 5/8" steel. Worked well. Saw is heavy.

This saw is a monster!! I've been using it to cut 24" diameter pipe that is 1/2" walled , I made a jig that I put on the pipe and it has magnets to keep it in place , then I guide the saw along side it and it's a perfect cut every single time !! I've had it for about a month now and just ordered a spare blade for it , I know as much as I use it that day will come that I'll need to change it , I also have a evolution mitre saw that has a 14" blade and have had that for prolly 8 years now and you would believe how many cuts I get out of a blade on that thing , I think I'm only on my 3rd or 4th blade on it in alm that time, thousands of cuts !! I'd say don't even think about it anymore , just get one , and you'll think how did I ever get away with not having g this awesome tool !!

Should have bought one of these 20 years ago. What a time saver. Be sure to empty out your chip trey often or it will get packed tight. I cut about 12 feet of 3/8" plate and then cut a 1/2" plate about a foot long. Exceptional finish.
