Laguiole Waiter's Corkscrew With Rosewood Handle

Very nice and beautifully made corkscrew.

I’ve gone through many many cork screws in my life. They all seem to start out well, but have varying lifespans. Usually if they can make it through a year, they stand out, but they rarely last that long. Upon visiting several wineries in Sonoma and Napa, I noticed that every one of them used this brand. They certainly stand out, since they have wooden handles and are very sleek looking. I made a point to take a photo so I could order one for myself. Once mine arrived, I was blown away at the quality and craftsmanship. After using it for a while, I decided that I was going to gift these to my friends, so I ordered a few more for an upcoming wine party. Everybody loves their and so far they stand up to regular use without showing signs of falling apart.

Purchased this corkscrew after all the others I had purchased failed after a short period of time. I tried many of the new models, and they were all very easy to use but they all FAILED after a short while. It is not like I was using them in a restaurant: I open maybe four bottles a week. Anyway, so far this is working well, although not as easy as some, it seems to be well made. If it fails I will be sure to change this review, but so far so good.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend. He's only used it a few times, but it really looks beautiful and works well so far. And of course it's a Laguiole! The "gift box" is very simple and plain, but we just use it to keep the corkscrew safe.

I mean, it’s obviously not authentic, given the price. But that should be obvious. It’s still a decent wine opener. Quality seems pretty average. Doesn’t look bad. Not bad.

Nice blade, but not the best Wine Key. Not a good design, clumsy, a beginner will break the drier corks with this one. There are better wine keys for the same price.
