I read the reviews on this product and frankly don't understand the negative remarks - might be there are different knock off products out there - however the items I received were a quality product and worked identical - the switches were fully functional, case was well built and no defects, yes they do have a strobe function as well as a high and low power function and yes you have to click thru the modes to get the mode you desire but this is pretty much standard operation for these inexpensive priced small flashlights - the switches on these were not erratic and worked normally with positive operation.

The top part of one of the torches was missing when it arrived so one torch can narrow the light beam into a round or square shape and the other one cannot. We used them for one weekend and they both worked well apart from the missing part on 1 but this is the second weekend we used them and not the 1 with the missing part can’t be switched off and we have unscrew the head to switch it off leaving the battery exposed.

Nice little light, you can click all the way down to go through options or half way down when the light is on.

Will be using while camping - with an LED flashlight uses only one AA battery - very bright light and battery does last a long time before needed to be changed. Just take extra AA batteries with you.

bought a set of these to give one as a gift to a person who travels a lot esp in remote areas and figured she would find it helpful when stumbling around in the dark in the bush without ruining night vision. the other i got for myself for around the house also to not ruin night vision. never dropped the light. now recently after what i would consider light use over the past year or so have had to change battery 3 times since due to a possible parasitic drain. But my biggest peeve is when i have it set to full bright. - Typically to the full brightness is what i use as the low light is too low to use most of the time and the strobe is just annoying when you don't need it. So what is happening is when it is on full bright, after a few random seconds - could be 5, could be 20+, it goes to the strobe effect. You have to click the button to cycle through it again to get it to stop. Sure, it's a cheap flashlight, but why frusttrate yourself with unreliable junk and have to either put up with it or buy a better one? Seems like the cost is a bit higher than the price tag, ya think? Would NOT recommend. One feature i DID want and like is it is a single AA battery light
