Smoked Trout

Pricey for what is probably farm raised trout, but quality is there. If you compare the portion to a restaurant serving and price, not a bad deal. Fish is firm and not mushy. No strong fishy taste which surprised me as trout is usually prepared from fresh caught fish and I have never had great luck freezing it as it degrades taste and texture.

If I still didn’t like chicken I’d be 100% pescatarian I’ve tried my share of tin fish and I’ve had trout before as well but, I was really impressed with Bumble Bee smoked trout it wasn’t salty, loved the smoky taste , two nice filets with no bones (that’s winning) easy to serve with just crackers or I made a pate and wow! It met my expectations.

Great flavor, after 20yrs commerial fishing. Its non fishy to almost Chicken flavor. Still like sardines for nutrition . Nice alternative canned fish looks like 4-5" fish a bit compressed flat texture. Recommended canned fish variety box. Shows product of Latvia.

Very flavorful…not fishy strong. Love it for a snack!

These seriously do taste good. They are from Latvia, which has a thriving fish farm economy. If I knew they weren't farmed, I'd give them a 5, but I don't

I'm so impressed with Bumble Bee quality. They are a larger scale producer along the lines of Chicken of the Sea, Brunswick, or Polar but I've had all of the tinned fish they produce (Tuna, salmon, trout, sardines, oysters, crab, etc.) and they are honestly all great quality. Much better than their other large immediate competitors and truly great considering their mostly inexpensive cost. Highly recommend this smoked trout and really ALL tinned fish products that Bumble Bee produces.

Perfect size for a snack , as an appetizer served with crackers & cheese or right out of the can (my fav!) I worked in the seafood industry for 15+ years & I do know what smells good & what doesn't (for my own taste). As soon as I opened the can of trout, I took a sniff & , yay (!), it didn't smell like a house fire that had only just been out out. The fillet had a nice smooth appearance & the sodium for the entire can is 530 calories. I am a total night owl. When that voice in my head & the growl from my stomach hits me in the wee hours, I don't want anything sweet. Perfect size & a perfect snack with crackers & cheese or right out of the can (my personal choice).

These are fantastic! I had added them as a Subscribe and Save item, and have been thrilled with the taste and quality. Sadly, bought them in November of 2025 at $32 for the case and now it is up to $50 - seriously??? Cheaper to pick up singly in my grocery store, so will be cancelling my sub on this one.
