Exceptional jacket for the price- Compares to arc'teryx level of quality and usability.
To anyone skeptical about purchasing this jacket: Don't be. It's amazing. I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews about incorrect sizing, and to that effect I say: Use the manufacturer's size chart as seen in the pictures for this product. It's very accurate, and true to form. I measured all the pertinent information on myself with a tape measure- Note that when the diagram shows the B, C, and F for measurements, it's referring only to distance across- not circumference. Because I'm 5' 9" and 116lbs, medium jackets are always a bit big for me, whereas smalls are always a bit small for me. Like the Goldilocks' porridge of jackets, this small is *just right*. The small measures somewhere between a small and a medium, leaving enough room for a nice thick sweater underneath, but won't be lacking anything or baggy without one as far as conforming to a "dorito" shaped chest or athletic build. The only issue I have, and this is shared by many people, is the zipper. I understand what Condor was attempting to do with the dual zipper feature, I guess allowing for you to zip from the bottom up if you're bending over a lot (like for hunting animals or hunting mushrooms)- but it becomes a bit of a hassle to zip up the jacket. Don't let this dissuade you though. After wearing it in and a little practice you'll realize the bottom zipper sort of "clicks" or locks into place at the bottom on the right side, needing no additional struggling when zipping or unzipping. Just don't try to zip it without using both. Once the main zipper is connected, slide the bottom zipper to the bottom to lock it in and away you go! Last; the quality. I promise I'm not being paid to say this. The quality is excellent for what you're paying. Like one reviewer said, this quality is pretty close to one of arc'teryx' extremely overpriced $400-$500 jackets. Before this, my every day jacket was an Eddie Bauer softshell jacket that MSRPs around $85 (see here: https://www.amazon.com/Eddie-Bauer-Shaded-Crosshatch-Jacket/dp/B013XOO0UU?th=1&psc=1 ) Anyway this jacket seems much more water resistant, thick, durable, and cozy than it ever was. Don't be fooled into buying a brand! I chose this jacket for maneuverability around a small cockpit and no branding on the front. Let me tell you, it delivers. With more pockets than you'll know what do to with and with warmth and durability, you'll be very happy with this jacket as for a softshell, it's very well-made. Also fine to wear with dress shirts as it's classy!

Great Jacket
I purchased the OD Green and it is very nice and the quality so far seems to be well thought out. Fit: The fit is a typical "I'm in shape and am active cut". Its meant to be used while doing things. I am 5' 8" and 210lbs with a stalky build and when I buy a suit I need to get a "sport cut" and or have them tailor the chest, back, and shoulders to make them wider to fit right. I wear 34x30 pants (if that helps at all) so I bought the XL and it fits me very well Comfort: This is a colder weather jacket. I had trouble not sweating my butt off in less then 50 degrees, but I am a bit more used to cold weather. One thing I noticed from my prior jackets similar to this, is the arms. They are made probably twice as thick as others which is great if you are not moving too much, this jacket will defiantly keep you warm and comfy, but once you are on the move I heat up fast. I wouldn't say its a "con", just be aware if its fair weather you will get warm. The water repellency is on target with two hours or med/light rain before you get wet. Heavier, then expect less. Pockets: There is a pocket for the pockets. So yes, there are many and they are very usable The coat has Draw Strings at the waist so if you carry a weapon they can be adjusted to make getting to it fast, plus the front zipper is double ended so you can zip the bottom one up for more access to items on your belt. Zippers: The front main zipper can be a pain in the butt. They are YKK and well made, but getting them past the initial "zip up" has always been an issue. But I can live with it Velcro for patches is nice and everything else about the jacket is very nice. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a duty jacket or for cold weather sporting A review mentioned the "pit zips" were an issue, but all I have noticed is they can get cold when you first go out (and you are wearing a short sleeve shirt) but no rubbing, scratching, or discomfort so far.

Great price, excellent features, and quality materials and construction!
Condor 606/Phantom Soft Shell Jacket Note: I also purchased the Condor 601/Alpha Micro Fleece Jacket as a middle layer and will review it along with this item; so expect a little overlap. PRICE $75.00 - $95.00. Really hard to beat for this type of jacket! USE The 606/Phantom is an outer-layer soft shell jacket with plenty of features for a range of activities from general outdoors and hunting to tactical and urban utility. It is fairly rain resistant, but it is not intended to be rainproof for extended periods of time. FEATURES Pockets! More pockets than a Hobbit watchmaker! Externally it has zippered slash pockets at the waist, a vertical zippered chest pocket that is sized for glasses, mobile phones, etc., and zippered shoulder pockets similar in size to the chest pocket. The waist and shoulder pockets have D-rings on short elastic straps in them, and the waist pockets have rubber X-grommets for cords to pass through to the interior of the jacket. Internally it has two big waist pockets (no closures), a smaller vertically zippered pocket on the right, and a small hook and loop closed pocket on the left. Both external waist pockets have a smaller internal pocket in them. That makes 11 pockets in total (โIt goes to 11!โ). There is also a good sized pen loop next to the inside left pocket. The front zipper has top and bottom pull tabs, an interior wind flap, and it zips all the way up the collar. The top pull tab has a looped cord extension that is molded into a plastic brand-tab with โCONDORโ in raised letters on it. All pocket zippers have nylon strap extensions on the tabs, the waist pockets are recessed into the seam, and the other pockets have zipper โgaragesโ. There are 3.5โ x 4โ hook and loop patches that are Box-and-X stitched on each shoulder. The sleeves have hook and loop tightening straps at the wrists and zippers in the armpits. The inner waistline has a corded elastic drawstring with beaded barrel locks on the left and right side. MATERIALS The 606/Phantom is a 3-layer laminated soft shell fabric consisting of: a 100% polyester 4-way stretch Teflon-protected shell, a breathable film middle layer, and a polyester micro fleece inner layer. QUALITY AND CONSTRUCTION Very well made, and at a fraction of the price of most other jackets of this type! I did not find any threads that were loose or likely to unravel, inside or out. All zippers are medium-tooth YKKs, and seem to be very good quality. The cord on the front zipper pull extension seems a little thin, but I doubt I will ever pull it hard enough to break it. The molded brand-tab on the front zipper pull extension has a good form and texture, but it needs a rounded edge where the cord goes into it. The nylon strap extensions on the pocket zipper tabs, as well as the waistline drawstring and barrel locks, work well and seem to be good quality. The hang loop in the collar is more substantial than the 601/Alphaโs, and it works well. The hook and loop sleeve tightening straps at the wrists are molded soft plastic that works well now, but I am curious to see how they hold up. SIZE AND FIT I am 5โ-5โ, 150lbs., with slightly broader than average chest and shoulders, so Iโm in a generally hard to fit Small-Medium size range for clothing. I took a chance on a Medium--but it fits me quite well--and has the extra room I wanted for a fleece jacket or pullover. I put it on over my Small 601/Alpha, and it still fits just fine. The length and waist diameter of the Medium are okay, but the overall sleeve length is a little too long (which I expected, and is better than too short!). PERFORMANCE Iโve worn it casually, with a few trips to the woods, and it seems fine. I need to wear it a little more in other conditions, especially foreign travel, before commenting further, but I expect it to do well. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT Rubber X-grommets in the shoulder pockets. More color choices, especially Gray! And a true Gray, not that Gray-Green (Grayn!) that a lot of tactical/outdoor clothing comes in (Iโm looking at you, Triple Aught UE Gray ;). Maybe a forearm pocket and/or a back-of-the-waist pocket. SUMMARY Great price, excellent features, and quality materials and construction! Condor may have had a few quality control issues in the past, but this jacket proves that they have greatly improved.

Outstanding value with features found nowhere else
This sort of jacket has become rare. A soft-shell jacket that has velcro sleeve cuffs is extinct. I have an old Marmot and North face that I used to use for tactical training. Those companies have discontinued their designs and now they have open sleeves. With training, that is a no-no. Orvis makes a shooting jacket that also does not have proper cuffs anymore. I guess it saves them money, but then you need sleeves that are -perfect- to you arm length. Do they not see this problem?? So back to this jacket: Good stuff: Well-made. Medium weight good for 60 degree weather. Good water repellency. The material has some stretch. Lots of thoughtful pockets, most are zippered. No hood. A nice assortment of colors. The value is outstanding! Bad stuff: Needs a more athletic fit. Meaning that there needs to be less of a square cut. When I found the size I needed for my shoulders, the body of the jacket was very loose. And even then, when you go into a stance, there is tightness across the back of the shoulders. Somehow, Northface gets this right where no one else does. Needs more room for layers. Again, there are 2 places where layers need extra room: the armholes/upper shoulder and in the sleeves themselves. Those are movement zones. If you wear a fleece under this jacket, those areas get tight quickly...yet the body still has room. If you ever worn military body armor, you quickly realize that the torso can do fine with it. The areas that need movement are all the areas that the kevlar does not covers. Those are the ares this jacked should have more room. Lastly, the unit-patch area is a little silly. What the heck are you going to put there?? Overall: A definite "BUY". I plan to get a few more.

Outstanding Jacket and Service
I received my jacket with four days of placing my order, and I did not use any express or priority shopping. My jacket came nicely picked in a box with the packing material to fill the void between the box and jacket. My jacket was also packed inside a clear plastic bag to avoid contact with the box. I am very pleased how quickly I received my jacket and didn't have to pay extra. It's obvious that the seller isn't messing around with their orders from all the positive feedback about their service. Fit: I measured myself first and used the size recommendations to make sure I ordered the right size with my order. I am 6' tall and weight 200 lbs and ordered a size large. The jacket fits perfectly. However, with that said, there is no spare room and if I wear a heavy shirt with any base layers (like a thermal long sleeve), it's going to be a tight fit. In hindsight I probably should have ordered a extra large; but I'm not going to return it for a different size because it fits good and I think perfect (I'm in Arizona and not too concerned about wearing too many base layers). Color: I ordered the Coyote Tan and very pleased the color is correct and matchesall other stuff in the same color. The jacket looks real good in this color. Construction: the outside is a stretch type fabric that almost feels like Gore-Tex or Neoprene, but more than any of my wet suits. The inside is fleece. The stitching looks very well done, maybe to early to tell since I haven't worn it and to soon to tell how it will hold up. There are no loose ends or threads handing out that wasn't trimmed, so it appears they did a very good job. All the zippers work good. I wish the main zipper was one of those larger types like the use on the military issued Gore-Tex jackets, but for the price I am not complaining. I'll verypleased with the overall construction and qualityof my new jacket. Pockets: There are pockets every where inside and out and I think the layout and size of the pockets are very well done. This is especially perfect with the inside pockets using some with Velcro and some with zippers. Overall I'm very pleased with my new jacket and look forward to wearing it. I'm also very pleased with how quickly I received it without having to pay to have my order expedited. I'm thinking to get anotherone now in green.

Incredibly well-constructed and full of features!
In the market for a tactical soft-shell that I could attach morale patches to, carry a lot of small items, but also wear around town without looking like I just stepped off a plane from the warzone I was dead-set on the Arc'Teryx DRAC jacket from their LEAF line. Even with a pro-deal that would've saved me 50% I'm glad I passed and bought the Condor at a substantial savings. The Phantom has two internal pockets and a chest pocket that the DRAC lacks. The construction is great. The inside is well put together without the pocket liners flopping around like cheaper jackets. The water repellent qualities are fantastic as we're currently in the middle of a storm dumping inches of rain and I was bone dry after standing outside for 20 minutes. The shell isn't too stiff, though don't expect fleece-like softness. The lining, however, is very comfortable...time will tell how tenaciously it hangs onto dog fur, though. The fit is what I would call slightly fitted. It's not a form hugging athletic fit, but it's also not baggy. Perfect. It's not constricting at all, but not sloppy. If I decide to conceal a weapon on my hip there's no imprinting. I'm 5'-10.5", 175 lbs with a 41" chest, and a 32" waist. I'm always seemingly between a M and L. I bought the Large and am extremely pleased. Absolutely perfect fit. I can easily get a couple layers underneath it, or wear it with just a t-shirt without having it bunch up. The neck is a bit loose, but it easily allows you to turtle your head down to keep your face warm. Bottom line? You're nuts to consider buying something along the lines of a DRAC (unless your company/agency is picking up the tab...and even then the Condor has more features), or to save a couple bucks and buy a cheaper option out there. The Condor Phantom is an incredible value.

Best fitting jacket ever
Before this soft shell jacket, I had one from Blackhawk. It fit pretty big, and it had ridiculously large inside pockets where the contents would swim around in there. I am 6โ1โ, 175 lbs, athletic build, wide shoulders, narrow waist. I usually wear a 40โ regular, 32โ waist suit. I ordered a medium since I am over 50 now and itโs harder to keep the muscle mass on. But this jacket fits so well I almost wish it was cold enough now (itโs the beginning of Sept) to get a chance to wear it. One minor thing I would add: a forearm zippered pocket. There are 2 upper arm zippered pockets so thatโs good. I love the inner right side zippered pocket for a smart phone. The other inside pockets are just the right size. The material really is very nice. High quality workmanship shows in the fitment and finish of the stitching. No loose threads anywhere. Main two-way zipper is nice and smooth, and looks like it will last for many seasons. Totally happy with the product and the shipping.

Tactical jacket that will keep you warm !
Amazing jacket ! Cold weather is starting in Az, and with having to show up to training at 6am this jacket is definitely keeps you warm, and itโs worth buying. I looked into cheaper alternatives but I didnโt want to risk going with a cheaper alternative. I needed a tactical jacket, that can still keep me warm in cold temperatures, and I have to admit condor did not disappoint. Iโm short, and I have short arms so the fact that they made the sleeves adjustable helps. Plenty of pockets to store your things in. One Velcro patch on the right, and left side so you are able to throw on your patches. Also not too bulky so Iโm able to throw my vest on, train, and stay warm. Keep in mind this coyote brown jacket has a bit of a different color to it. Itโs hard to describe but on the picture to the right you can see my duffel bag that is coyote brown, and the jacket as you can see thatโs on the left has a slightly different color to it. Hope this helps ๐๐ฝ

Oodles of pockets
After searching through Amazon for the ideal jacket I stumbled across the Condor. I was searching for a specific type with two inside pockets. My initial order had a minor zipper problem, which I ended up returning after a couple few weeks but I loved the jacket. I went with ordering my usual size but it ended up being a snug fit, comfy but snug. So upon returning it due to the zipper problem I did reorder another one but one size larger, XL, so at just under 6ft, a bit over 200lb, about a 42โ chest it fits wonderful. Not restrictive in any way and lots of pockets. Highly recommend. Thank you Amazon or the 3rd party for shipping so quickly.
