Works great for using on rocks. Easy to use, cutting speed was faster than I would have thought, super durable, valuable for the money

granite easily cut through
GRANITE...Dry diamond drill bits. I was amazed at how easily they cut through granite. Installed two grab bars in my 1.5โ thick granite shower walls. I used 5 bits for 10 holes. I used my cordless drill to start hole at 45 degree angle then switched to my cheap corded hammer drill (purchased from Harbor Freight) to drill through. DO NOT use the โhammerโ setting on the drill, I only used this drill in normal setting for its high speed. The key is to frequently pull the drill bit out from the hole (plunge) to clear the grit that clogs the hole. I would pull the bit out after 4-5 seconds of moderate pressure dragging grit with it and after a couple of times I then put the bit in a bowl of cold water to cool it down and clean the bit. Take your time, the bit will do the work.A quarter inch bit will leave a slightly larger hole so before I put screws in. I put a plastic wall anchor in with some construction glue on it. Then used 3โ screws to get through the granite and dry wall into the wall stud. I located the studs using my finder ABOVE the shower wall where there is finished dry wall, then plumbed down the side to make my holes.

Good deal
I drilled 24 holes in ceramic tile. I used 2 bits and just started with the third bit. They did a great job. I probably could've done it with 2 bits, I just like a fresh bit.

Will work on Porcelain tile - Great value for the price.
Bought these after the single diamond coated bit from the big box store died after 6 holes in porcelain tile. Drilled the last 4 with one of these bits and it seemed to work just as well or better. 10 bits for the price of one from the big box store is a great value. I did use water and kept the bit wet, and used moderate pressure while drilling. Porcelain is very hard to drill through, but take your time and these bits will get it done.

Cuts through porcelain tile.
You need a plug in high speed drill. My battery driven Dewalt took way too long. Don't put too much pressure especially when you are beginning the cut. I put 3 layers of masking tape over my mark on the tile so the bit will not slide around. After you are about 1/8 of an inch in then you can put a little more pressure. Patience will save you a broken tile. I have drilled 12 holes and am on my 3rd bit. No broken tiles yet. Best value that I have found so far. Don't waist your money or time at the Big Box store. They will sell you a single bit for $14 that will not work. Been there done that!

Control is ok...a little slow
I purchased these to drill a large number of holes in porcelain tile for glass shower door and supports. I built a mold to hold them in place. The drilling was fine and they made.clean holes but each hold took quite a while. I switched to a higher quality diamond bit to finish. So, if you have lots of time and high speed drill these are okElse spend more for a better bit and save some time.

Did the Job
I had to drill about 16 holes in porcelain tile and the Home Depot was charging an arm and a leg for the name brands which, according to outside reviews, did not last very long. Based on the Amazon reviews I decided on these and figured if I can only get two holes per bit, I would be happy. I am happy, because I have four out of ten drill bits left! SO, job done and money saved. Keep in mind that it still takes time to drill through porcelain, and there is a learning curve to using it. So, look for You Tube tutorials.

Best diamond bits ever
These bits are amazing, cut through granite, tiles and glass, without any issue.I used to use to is 1/4 inch Milwaukee tile bits, which is about $28.99, at Home Depot currently, no thank.10 of these blue bits will last me a whole year when compared to those Milwaukee's over priced bits.

Absolutely amazing value for the price, as good as if not better than name brand
I am a general contractor and install quite a few shower stalls and range hoods in new condominiums in new homes. I have been purchasing similar items to these at a far greater cost. I've been paying the same price for a single unit if not more money. Well they have worked okay I am quite surprised and very pleased to find that these particular ones work just as good if not better than a lot of the others I have used. I am extremely pleased with this product and will definitely purchase it again. I have found having a squirt bottle with you while you're drilling and keeping the whole wet really helps prolong the lifespan drastically. They work quite well dry as advertised that used wet really improves the lifespan. Excellent value very happy with this purchase

It cuts through porcelain tile
I got these to drill holes in porcelain tile to be able to hang the shower doors. It takes a while to cut through. I used a wet sponge to cool off the bits. For 16 holes I used 4 bits. The trick with these is to use a carbide bit that has a point on it first to get the hole started and then use these, so it does not slip on the surface.

Great bits, make sure to use them properly
Good bits for drilling porcelain tile. If you use them properly, drill for 10 seconds, cool the bot by dipping in a container of water for 5 seconds then back and forth they work well. I drilled 20 holes through porcelain tile into concrete before the first bit wore out. Probably would have done more but I accidentally started 2 holes on hammer mode of hammer drill. Don't do that, it will destroy the bit. I accidentally did that on another bit before realizing I was on hammer mode and only got 4 holes drilled. Totally my fault.
User
super product...worked great
I purchased these diamond drill bits to install a grab bar in my shower stall. The drill bit easily went through my very thick porcelain wall tiles. I think it took me about 1-2 minutes to go all the way through. I stopped regularly to cool down the bit in water. This was my first time using any diamond bit so i am no expert. I did not use any supporting device, but, I would advise you too first test on a spare tile to be sure you have your technique so as to not slip and scratch your tiles.
