Really strong hold with a nice smell. Very pasty and works well if blended with a drop of water in your palm.

I have fine, straight hair that I spike up in a variety of ways as it grows out. This stuff is perhaps just a bit heavy for the short hair (1") but holds great; as my hair grows out this stuff is really excellent as it holds well and lasts all day. I probably prefer the blue version, which is a creamier product, a bit thinner and without such holding power, but the blue works best with shorter hair. I've tried Night Rider as a recent comparison product, and while that works well for a short while it dries out after a few hours and leaves my hair flat. The difi starts a bit sticky (but not as much as a wax stick product), dries and gets a *little* crispy (but not like glue), and can be *scruffed up* so that the clumps of hair become loose again and but the hairs still stay styled. Allows for a greater or lesser degree of texture.

This is a great product for a certain hair styles. If you comb your hair with a brush, forget it, it's too sticky. This is designed for people who want a messy or semi-messy look (messy but look fixed) where you only use your hands and fingers. In that case, it has superb hold. It does remain somewhat sticky and stays that way the whole day. It gives a semi-glossy look that looks a little wet. It actually works best when your hair is completely dry or a bit wet. It smells like pina colada. Great stuff, but not for everyone.

I love the product, the price was right, and the scent is fabulous! The fragrance might seem a little more masculine since it’s not flowery, but I really like it. The hold is extreme, and it will work best on my hair right after a haircut when it’s very short. It’s just a little too stiff and tacky for the length mine is when it’s a couple weeks grown out. I absolutely love the product, though.

Nice product but a little tracker for my fine hair

D:fi is my absolute favorite hair styling product. Been using it for 25 years. Great for thin/fine hair in short styles. It holds hair in place in all kinds of weather, smells good, non-greasy, and does not promote dandruff or dry scalp.

I have used this for years. Normally, I would give it 5 stars, but my last one came and was a different consistency than all the others. Put a finger in like normal, and it was very sticky, with a long trail of product coming out each time. Something was different. Well, I tried to return it, and they waited for me to ship the old item back! What a pain...I have to jump through hoops for them. Well, just be careful I just wont buy from that vendor anymore :(

Over the past five years or so, I've been on the hunt for the best product out there that will not only hold my hair, but continue to do so. Having tried just about every store brand you can think of, I ran across at a salon and was told that it's what the stylist's son used. D:fi is like the Holy Grail. It's very sticky and stringy, holding my hair all day and even in light rains, etc. I searched my city for another container of it before ordering multiple off of Amazon. My hair is short and I style it sort of messily back and up/over. You really can't run a comb or brush through once it's in your hair, but it leaves a matte finish and allows you to style however you want to. I recommend this to anyone looking for that short hair, contemporary style. Give it a try, seriously. Will buy exclusively for as long as I keep this style.

My hair is naturally thick and frizzy which makes it difficult to style. I've tried countless products before and none were to my liking due to the texture, smell, and whatnot. This product is an absolute godsend for me as I get the strong hold and look I need, without applying much at all. The canister will last me many months but I'll most definitely be purchasing again when I run out!
