We used this propane converter with our MSR pocketrocket 2 while backpacking in Gates of the Arctic National Park, Alaska and it worked absolutely flawlessly the entire trip. I absolutely love this propane converter and plan on using it for all cold camping trips or places I’m worried about finding isobutane on hand. Propane was never really a fuel I used but after getting this converter it’s certainly a go-to option for me. I do want to give a warning about setting this up for cooking and being gentle with the fuel/power given while cooking. It’s like a blowtorch if turned up to high. Also, please use these basic instructions for preparing to cook and cleaning up to prevent propane loss or freezing your hands: 1) Take the lid off the propane container and attach only the converter first. Verify during this step your stove is completely in the off position. 2) Once the converter is twisted on the propane properly, take your stove and twist it onto the converter, I recommend twisting it on relatively quickly to prevent venting too much propane (holding the stove and twisting the propane worked best for us for speed). Do not over tighten. 3) Slowly turn on the stove and light when you start hearing the gas. Be conservative with the propane to be safe. Take Down: 1) Turn off your stove and let it cool down for a minute after cooking. 2) Unscrew ONLY THE STOVE and put the stove back in your cooking bag. 3) Once the stove is put away, unscrew the converter from the propane tank and put the propane lid back on. These instructions may seem overly simple but it is very important to not take off or screw on the converter and the stove at the same time, this can cause your propane to vent a lot of gas and can be bitter cold on your hands. Happy trails!

Very cool little adapter that adds versatility to my rocket stove. Just be careful when you unscrew it from the propane... it will jump if you don't kind of palm it.

Adapts standard Coleman fuel tank for use on a compact backpacking stove. Well built, functions as expected, no leaks or difficulty installing. Not ultra lightweight, due to solid metal construction, but reliable and durable, so worth the heft.

I bought this to go with my Optimus Crux Lite stove so I could use my small propane tanks. This works great and as long as you don't overtighten to strip the threads, this will last a very long time.

If you want redundancy to be able to use your mini stove with one pound propane tanks this is it. Haven’t tried other brands that make this but this one works very well for me. Would recommend.
