Soil Sunrise Horticultural Charcoal for Indoor Plants (2 Quarts) Hardwood Soil Additive for Orchids, Terrariums, and Gardening

I’ve bought this multiple times for my indoor plant chunky mixes and I love it. The charcoal is clean, good quality, and mixes in really well with bark and other substrates. My plants seem to do great with it, and I like using it to help keep my soil mix airy and fresh. Consistently good quality every time I reorder. Great value and definitely a staple in my plant supplies. Color is consistent and appearance as expected.

Lasts a while, you would think it would not because the bag is seriously small. For the price it’s crazy to spend that much for something so small but here we are. It’s for my plants so I pamper them . Comes in flakes, small and easy to crush. Helps with drainage, and good for the plants.

This is a good product. The charcoal is chopped quite small, but not too finely, and works well in all sizes of planters/pots. For the price advertised, I felt this was a very good value and would certainly purchase it again. Horticultural charcoal is essential to keep your indoor plants happy; the charcoal absorbs excess moisture and helps to prevent root rot. I am very happy with this purchase, and recommend it wholeheartedly.

This looks like good quality charcoal. unfortunately the pieces in the package I received are much smaller than shown in some of the pictures please see the attached. So it's probably a good choice for general soil amendment, not ideal if you're looking for larger pieces for orchids that like larger chunks, which is what I hoped for based on the pictures, particularly the one showing the larger chunks in the hands.

The best value/ quantity offered. Great for adding to bioactive soils, plant soil mixes and for springtail cultures.

Used this for a few different succulent pots inside. Plants seem fine. No smell from the pots.
