This is perfect. I had to return the other one because is was big and bulky. This is thin, which I like having the iPad Mini but still protective. I am able to hit the power and volume buttons easily. Love the color I got (purple). Very alike to the previous folio cover I wore out but BETTER.

I find this case to absolutely be a lovely lovely piece of gear. The inside cover picks up dust immediately should you lay it on anything which you’ll do if you are writing. I’m using this for writing. The Apple Pencil affixes itself easily to the side though I’m always finding myself anxious that I’ll knock it off. Some cases have a flap that can cover the pencil when it’s on the side. The case is so lovely though. I am always admiring it. For $10 I say hey if it’ll cause you a lot of pleasure then go for it. The above two cons though have been annoying me. It picked up this dust within 1 week so what will it look like after a few months? LOL idk I feel like there is no hope with that aspect. As for sturdiness— I think a lighter case like this is fine because I’ve had the iPad Pro 11 1st gen for years and didn’t even have a screen protector on it and nothing happened. I had a light case on it like this one too and nothing happened. Meanwhile I’m always somehow breaking and damaging earbuds and power banks and my MacBook Pro I spilled coffee on it and destroyed it in Taipei while traveling so I think the iPad is sturdy based on my anecdotal experiences. I wouldn’t over optimize on protecting it since it’d be unneeded bulk
