Hooray! Plug and play!
I bought my Marantz SR6008 receiver in 2014 and it shows no signs of failing. With the not unimportant exception of the remote, which over the past year has steadily degraded in no longer being very responsive to attempts to control the volume. Other than the power button, this is my main use of the remote, given the way volumes can change dramatically even within the same program, for example on the commercial breaks between innings in minor league baseball games. For most of the past year I could deal with this by pressing hard and long on a volume button, but a few weeks ago even this no longer worked and I was stuck constantly getting off the couch to kill the super loud commercial and then back so as to hear the super low program. At that point I went to using the mute button to save my hearing, but shortly thereafter this failed as well and I was truly stuck.Just on the off chance, I searched Amazon. Amazing - an authentic-looking replacement remote, with good reviews, for only 10 bucks. Too good to be true, it seemed, but also too cheap to not give it a try. I ordered it, it arrived a day later, and within a few minutes I had happily returned to couch potatoland with a perfectly responsive volume control. Just in time for the baseball season!

DOES NOT WORK
I finally had the chance to get time tonight to setup my patio A/V at the house. The remote I purchased for my Marantz SR5013 didn't work as promised.I put batteries in it and the MAIN button at the top left of the remote started flashing green. After trying everything including a deep dive on Google, I gave up!THE REMOTE IS JUNK !!!
