We use for the adults in our house bed. It works great for us and fits great on our king size bed. It is soft and good quality. Great value.

Comfortable and effective. Fits well and easy to wash! The zipper makes it not as hard as I thought it would be to put on and take off for washing. Holding up well!

This style of mattress protector consists of a "breathable membrane" that blocks water/liquid but allows moisture to vent out. It is covered with a thin terry cloth top layer, and has wide + long elastic to fit the mattress. The combo membrane+terry layer is quite thin. This differs from thicker quilted, padded "mattress covers" that add a soft topping to a mattress. I was surprised by this Amazon Basics product that matches a "Made in USA" product (used on another bed) that cost 2x more. The functional feature is the membrane. I choose not to test it by applying liquid to the protector; this was after I washed and fitted it to the mattress, then fitted queen sheets, etc. Perhaps someone else will test it via liquid. Buyers of other protectors that are rated as "waterproof" posted actual experience that they were not waterproof. As they say in Brooklyn, "You pays your money, and you takes your chances."

Had our first accident with our kids with these. They held up amazing. They fit our kids king beds and our 18 inch king perfectly. Thickness is just right to keep anything from making its way through to our mattress. I don't feel they make you to hot so some decent breathable material.

Used for a guest room/office combo and works well for the purpose.

I bought this mattress protector for exactly this kind of situation: a child climbing into my bed and having an overnight accident. Unfortunately, the protector completely failed. The liquid soaked right through to the mattress, turning what should have been a simple sheet and mattress pad change into a much bigger cleanup. Instead of sleeping in my own bed, I ended up on the couch. A mattress protector has one job: protect the mattress. This one didn't. Save your money and buy one that actually works.

Its a nice mattress cover. Its soft and makes feeling of mattress very soft too. Cant comment on waterproofing yet. Overall it's good.

As expected, Amazon Basics offers products with a well balanced quality vs price handle. However, I found that the Amazon brand Solimo offers the same product of identical quality at half the price. I bought one of that too and can't tell the difference.
