Great Budget Electric Shaver
The Braun Series 3 310s is an excellent choice for a reliable, budget-friendly electric razor. It gives a surprisingly close, comfortable shave for the price point, and is particularly good for those with sensitive skin. The Wet & Dry feature is a huge plus for easy cleaning or shaving in the shower. While it might take a couple more passes than a high-end model, the long-lasting battery and quick charge make it incredibly convenient. Highly recommended as a solid daily shaver or a great first electric razor.

Great Electric Razor - Low Frills, but Great Performance
Gifted this to my husband and he LOVES it! He's used an electric razor for years, but had been using a different brand/style with the rotary heads. When his old model needed replacement, he decided to consider other options. Braun was recommended, but since we weren't sure about changing from one brand/style to another, I purchased this Series 3 model instead of the most recent versions. It's not a fancy device, and it's not super quiet, but it works like a champ. Hubby's getting his closest shave in years. Definitely recommend!

Good shaver
My dad loves it work the money. Only problem he has is he keeps popping off he head into pieces and can't put them on. It about average size for a shaver so its portable. Good battery life last him about s month. Shaves good and ease to use to remove hair. They one problems is he pops the head off in 3 different piece it could be just him .

Great everyday shaver
The item works great. Smooth shave. I am very pleased. I am an everyday shaver so I can't say how well it works if you haven't shaved for 3 or 4 days. Good purchase!

Great Razor
I really appreciate this razor, that gives me a close, comfortable shave with no irritation or pulling, flexible head that follow my face contours, the extra center blade to help cut longer second or third day old hair, fast motor, long-lasting easy to charge battery, lightweight ergonomic design, pop-up trimmer, blade protection cover, for a good price, makes this an excellent value that nicely does it's job. I hope this razor continues to offer new blades and the full unit is available years from now when I have to go buy again.

Could be better
The trimmer feature is great, although a little hard to see what you're doing given the large size and odd layout of the device. The shaving head misses a LOT of whiskers. The great thing about it is that the trimmer NEVER nicks me and does a very nice job. My other electric (different brand) shaver does a great job of trimming my beard, but makes me bleed in certain spots every time I use it. Bottom line is I have to use both, which seems kind of dumb.

We're not in Germany any more
Got this Braun 310s to replace my not-quite-dead 10 yr old Braun 340 (discontinued). After reading the reviews, I wanted to try Braunโs bottom-of-the-line for comparison, and to see where the cost-cutting appears. As an aside, I wonder if Braun really needs six different lines (Series 3,5,6,7,8,9) of electric shavers. The 310โs goodness: โข Well it works fine, and features the same motor and drive mechanism as its Series 3 stablemates. โข Uses any Series 3 cassette heads. Comes with one 21b, but accepts the slightly better 32b/32s when needed. โข Charger adapter interchangeable with older Series 3 coil corded chargers, in both directions. All UL Listed. โข Charger w/cable lighter than old coil cord one (66g vs. 100g) so save your old charger, and use the new one for travel. โข Body lighter than my old 340 (158g vs. 200g) but feels very solidly built. โข Wet or dry operation. Essentially dunk-proof. Looking into its charger port, it appears sealed. โข 30-day Braun USA money back guarantee, 2-yr Braun USA limited warranty (excluding head) Hereโs where the cost-cutting happened: โข No pop-up trimmer. If thatโs essential, look at the similar Braun 3040s. โข Slightly lower capacity battery (listed 30min vs 45min for its stablemates) but still features quick 1-min charge to allow you to finish your shave. โข The only accessories provided are the charger, and a plastic head protector cap. No oil, no brush, no travel case, nothing else. The head protector cap does not extend to protect the power button as on some models. โข The blue side body is smooth plastic, the black grippy overmoulding runs down the center front. This is the reverse of the old 340, and odd for something intended to be used in a wet slippery environment. โข The charger feels less substantial, but of good quality, features a straight 44 inch cable, which is about the length of the old coil cable when fully extended. Youโll likely want a velcro strap or rubber band to preclude travel-tangle. The 310s will *not* run when plugged in to charge. So cordless-only operation. This is not so much a bug as it is a safety feature to avoid Braun granting a Darwin award to those who, in an AM rush to shower&shave, might run an AC extension cord to the charger to the shaverโฆ in the shower. The instruction book actually addresses this, albeit not Darwin. The LED will fast-flash when running low, and if it dies while youโre shaving, a minute or so charge will actually give you enough runtime to finish. Full charge from dead takes about an hour. Braunโs dry-only shavers do run corded or cordless. So my experiment in Braun cost-cutting has proved successful. If you like the Series 3 heads, want wet-dry operation, and donโt miss the trimmer, the 310s does the job at a very decent price. ---

pleasantly surprised- great value for sensitive skin
for the price its a good quality razor that delivers a smooth shave. ive been a shave cream and blade razor shaver for 20 years since i have sensitive skin on my neck that used to be susceptible to irritation, even with preshave oils, from electric razors so i stopped using them. i took a chance on this since it seemed like it was priced affordably and wouldnt be a huge loss if it didnt work out . i was surprised-the foil head pivots smoothly and gives you a close clean shave as long as you move slowly and pay attention to the direction your hair grows. afterwards i didnt need any lotion and didnt have any irritation. i took off a star because it works well on short stubble but pulls a little on longer hairs if you dont trim them down in advance or wait too long to shave.

A good razor.
I have light growth, but like to shave daily. I've been shaving with a Merkur safety razor for years, with either Gillette or Astra blades, but wanted something that wasn't as time consuming. I was prepared to have some trade off against quality of shave, but this gives me a shave that's pretty good, and within a couple of minutes. Shaving in the shower, and with a bit of soap, it gives a mild shave; there's a little more razor burn than I'd expect from the safety razor, but it's not significant. I've had it a week and a half and the foil seems to be holding up well. As yet, I'm not sure what the point will be at which I regard it as reasonable value for money with foil replacement; up to now, I've been used to spending less than a tenner for 100 blades, which will last at least a year! I'm not sure that it would cope well with thicker or longer growth, but to be fair, I don't think it makes any claims to do so, and there are other models that are clearly better suited to this. Also, it charges quickly, and the charge seems to hold well. So, I'm going to give it a full 5- down the line, if either the battery or foil cartridge life isn't reasonable, I'll revise it downwards. If not, I'm still happy with it!
