Samurai Troopers Ronin Warriors Complete Series [Blu-ray]

As a fan of the Ronin Warriors, I always wanted a complete set on physical media (both the TV series and all the OVASs). But holy cow, this is an AMAZING! This is an incredible transfer, I can't get over the image quality and how good the episodes look now. And it's a bit of a treat to have the original Japanese dialogue available to listen to as well. To any fans of the show, I can't recommend this enough

I remember way back in the early 90's I watched a series called Ronin Warriors on our local Fox channel; years before it made its way to cartoon network. It was amazing! So many great scenes and i fell in love with every character. Hero and villian alike. Loved the series so much I even recorded episodes on vhs, but ultimately lost the recordings due to a vhs mix up. Needless to say, i made a boo boo for recording over them. So thats my history with this series. My review for this is simple: THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY MUST-BUY SERIES! I am truly amazed how clear a picture they got these episodes. They're absolutely gorgeous. Way more vivid than when i watched it on FOX and Cartoon Network. If you are a fan and collecting classic anime you will not go wrong with this version! <3 <3 <3

Watching this series reminds me of time I grew up. I'd come home from school and turn onto Toonami Cartoon Network. The story was a battle with forces of good and evil. The heros inspired me with all the obstacles they went through. It's a great series.

Missed as a kid

The complete Samurai Troopers Blu ray set arrived today. I watched the first episode on disc one. Looks and sounds awesome. I remember this anime when it aired on USA network or the Sci Fi channel when I was a boy of about 9 or 10 in the mid 1990s. This series along with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Outlaw Star are a must haves for your anime collections. As another reviewer stated hopefully I wrote have any defected discs. Happy watching!

Fan of Ronin Warriors since it's inception and tube TV's still reigned supreme. Bought the original DVDs at Suncoast wayyyy back in 2003 and this one is one heck of an upgrade and a bargain (try finding it now and it'd be a small mortgage) the picture can't be done justice via cellphone camera colors are rich and vivid and all the action comes to life Talpa still the greatest villain to ever grace a tv set and you will not regret this bluray release! Thank you Discotek!!!

I was surprised by the excellent quality of this product. It was a great show from my childhood and I never missed an episode! The transfer and remaster was done very well! My only complaint is the Re-Cap has no audio to it, just music and the Subtitles are a mess. I am not sure if this is because it is subtitled for the Japanese Audio Track, but it is not even close to what the English Audio track has. Well done Funimation. Might want to add multiple Subtitle tracks in the future to match the appropriate Audio Track.

懐かしい、リアルロボット放送時間帯にまさかのサムライ斬新だった 映像はリマスターなのかな綺麗です P S4で再生可能、字幕オフ、日本語に出来ます。 テレビ版とOVA版のセットでこの値段ならお得かな

音質、画質共に大変満足です。 OVAの輝煌帝伝説が観たくて買ったのですが、やはりOVAのクオリティーの高さと、当時の効果音の使い方や声優さんたちの音声に何故かルームリバーブが掛かりっぱなし、JAVAティーめっちゃ出てくるやん、という当時は気にも留めなかった細かな所に気付けたりして、大変楽しく観れました。 良いアーカイブです。 字幕と音声機能ですが、輝煌帝伝説に関しては英語と日本語で機能がしっかりついているのを確認したので英語にして観るのもなかなか面白いです。

以前DVDBOXが出た時に予約して買いましたが、その時以上に心に鎧が走りました。 国内版のBDBOXは価格のこともあってスルーしましたが、多分この北米版は国内版と同じ映像マスターを使ってるんじゃないかと。 一般的な国内のプレーヤーで問題なく再生可能です。(自宅にあるPanasonicのUHDプレーヤー、レコーダーにSONYのレレコーダー、プレーヤー、PS4でも確認済み) ジャケットの裏面はOVAの村瀬仕様とTV版の塩山仕様のリバーシブルになっていました。

10年くらい前に買ったパナソニックDIGAで普通に再生できました。音声は英語と日本語を選択可能。字幕も英語、日本語、字幕なしを選べます。ディスクは5枚組で、OVA含め全話見れてこの価格は激安だと思います。
