It is very useful, light as a feather, and seems durable. The foam thickness (generously supplied) is soft, yet firm, and stays in place (thanks to the two accompanying straps). I found out that it is excellent for squats with heavy weights on my shoulders.

Quality is great. Bought for barbell hip thrusts. Thickness and size is great for standard barbell. Just make sure to store out of the sun or it can start to flake and peel.

I’ve used this barbell pad for exactly 3 years now. It has just started to crack down the center on the inside, so that the barbell sinks deeper into the foam and provides less protection against the heavy bar. I use this only for heavy hip thrusts ranging 225-315lbs over the 3 years of weekly use. Now I need to put more effort into trying to get into position so that the bar doesn’t fall into that new “groove” and cause pain to my hip bones. It’s been a great value for how comfortable, easy to put on the bar, and fit in my small gym bag, up until this month. I might end up repurchasing as I expect most other pads will have the same issue in time, and this one is such a great price for what you get!

I bought this padding so I could do hip thrusts with a barbell. The dumbbells were begining to be too little weight since I wanted to progressively overload with higher weights, which can only be achieved with a barbell. I tried to use the barbell both without padding and with a towel wrapped around it, but both times it was extremely painful on my hips since I have rather bony hips (I even felt a nerve tingle down my leg from the force/pinching caused by the barbell). I was discouraged to continue working out. This literally SAVED my workouts... It is so comfortable for hip thrusts. Definitely worth it for the price. Side note, I don't have the problem of it slipping like others seem to have in the reviews.

Works great, about to order a new one, fits workout bar fantastic does not slip and really light weight but very protective for me!

Great quality. Did have a little of the plastic smell but that went away after a couple days.

Great for back squats...not great for heavy hip thrusts...I would like triple the amount for those. (I'm 170 and was hip thrusting 225 with max force...was slightly painful, but barely acceptable.) However, i can't say enough how much of an improvement that is for back squats over the hard plastic blue thing I used before. It's like the blue thing was so much better than nothing, and this is just another level better than that. No pressure points on shoulders, no marks after. I would imagine this foam will last for years of regular use with no wear, with the type of material it is.

Literally saved our necks from the bar during squats. Comfortable, but firm. Short enough to cradle neck without getting in the way of grip. I honestly feel like this is an essential part of our fitness equipment now. Haven't had it very long, but still no signs of wear or tear.
