If you use a weed killer/crab grass /dandelion killer, will the clover die?

You'll have to read the herbicidal intended use instructions. Several herbicides target clover.

What does "coated and innoculated" mean?

Clover, peas, beans and related plants should be innoculated with a nitrogen-fixing microbe which has a symbiotic relationship with the plant. The plant feeds it sugars and the microbes feed nitrogen to the plant. Outside Pride's innoculated coating is a reddish purple. It helps you see any large areas you missed. I planted it near my Black Walnut tree in April. The area gets maybe 3 hours of direct sun per day. My came up well this spring, and is a rich green with surprisingly little watering since June 1, in spite of record heat in MN. I need to keep pulling weeds and then overseed the bare areas in Sept. I will also start planting sunny path areas between veggie beds.
