No. This item has male pipe threads. The end of your hose will have male hose threads. You would need a female/female adapter with the correct threads.

Could I use this with a kiddie pool?

I installed mine in my koi pond skimmer. Does your pool have a skimmer or filter system? If so, I would think you could use it. Not sure.
