Portable Tool Box on Wheels - Stackable 3-in-1 Chest for Workshops and Craft Rooms - Foldable Comfort Handle and Latches by Stalwart (Black/Yellow)

I bought this tool chest to have a compact portable place to store our tools. The finish of the tool chest is very nice, though I agree with others in that it will dent easily if you bang it around. The wheels and handle seem to function well, and it rolls easily on our wooden floors. Additionally, the chest breaks down into its three parts easily and is easy to lock together. Both the top chest and middle chest have handles to pick them up when it is broken down. Access to the lower drawers is easy. The bottom drawer tilts outward so you don't have to bend all the way down to open it. The second drawer is a well made, with good drawer slides. Although I have a mild quibble with my second drawer, in that you have to give a slight extra push to slide it in the last quarter inch or so. The whole package when put together feels like one piece so you don't have to worry about each section squirming around when moving it. To give you an idea how much can be put into these drawers we have about 20 screwdrivers, 10 or so pliers, 30 wrenches, a tape measure, a couple of hammers, a small level tool, duct tape, and some odds and ends in the first two drawers, and still have plenty of room for a couple of drills in the bottom drawer.

This arrived incredibly fast! I literally ordered it on a Sunday and got it on Monday. The construction is great, the wheels make a very smooth drive. It's super easy to take apart and put back together. I recommend a lock for the middle compartment because when driving around it tends to slide open. The bottom drawer doesn't stay open on it's own, but it also doesn't open when driving because of the type of drawer that it is (but there is a place to add a lock to this drawer if needed which is a nice feature). The reason I bought this tool chest is unconventional, my husband is a singer in a band and was getting frustrated carrying around an unorganized, heavy bag. I told him we'd check some alternative options and wanted to have something with wheels, because he carries a bunch of stuff, and walking from the parking lot can be a short trip or a really long trip. This happened to be the best price for the best quality and he loves it. The top compartment has a tool shelf that is removable, so underneath he stores all his back up stuff, because it's annoying to have to hold the shelf to search through the bottom compartment, so it's just easier to not have to go into that part as often. In the tool shelf he carries lots of little things like business cards, pens, cough drops, heros (ear plugs), etc. In the middle compartment he carries all his main stuff because this is the most easily accessible, his ipad even fits in there with a case on. And the bottom compartment holds all his wires. He's happy, I'm happy, I think this toolbox will last a long time.

This is a GREAT tool box at a GREAT price. I work on the road as an IT professional, I wanted something that I could use as a general purpose "everything I typically need" tool kit, and here it is. PROs: - The unit breaks into 3 seperate units, this means I can break it down and place it in the back seat of my car without laying it sideways. I have expensive tools, and I don't want to just have them tossed around inside of the unit. Note, the bottom piece is a little larger as the handle is attached to it and it may need to lay on it's back if space is limited. - Everything is accessable without breaking the unit down - The wheels and handle seem sturdy enough... Time will tell. - It feels stable with the drawers open, does not feel like it will tip over. - The latches that hold everything to together are metal, and they feel very firm when the unit is put together. - It is a good size for my needs. - Overall, it feels like it is well built for my needs. CONs: - Using this on stairs is NOT easy. In my case, if I am going up / down stairs I actually break it down, carry it, and then put it back together... Luckly, the actual break down and reassembly is very quick. It's just the hassle of multiple trips. - There is no built in latch for the lower two cabinets, the top one has two metal latches. There is holes that can be used to put a lock or poll of some sort through each of the 3 drawers, but nothing built into the unit will keep the lower two shut. That being said, they do tend to stay shut. Overall, it's the best thing that I've found for my needs at this time.

I was looking for a portable tool chest for my grooming supplies when I do dog grooming. I was attracted to the bright yellow color as it is cheerful and more feminine looking that the plain black ones. The detachable upper carrying toolbox simply latches off if you need it and it comes with a plastic insert tray for smaller tools, etc. I use that for my different blades, oils and brushes. The next section detaches as well to make it a 2 section tool box but I have no need of detaching the sections since it sits in my grooming room. When I travel however, I will take a minimum of clippers and blades and then use the removable tool box. The entire tool chest is on wheels so it is easily movable from room to room or corner to corner in my case and the bottom section is a sort pull out angled drawer, which is where I keep my grooming smock and other lighter items. This tool chest can be configured whatever way you want as the sections are removable. It seems fairly sturdy but of course, in my instance, I don't have a lot of really heavy tools. I'm a technician at a mechanic shop but I mostly handle oil changes and tire related work. I did not need a large mechanic tool chest to hold all the basic tools I needed to make my job easier so this is the product I settled on after comparing prices and portability. The 3 in 1 stackable chest greatly exceeded my expectations and I'm still using it with no issues after a year at the same job. I keep loose hand tools and sockets in the top compartment. I have some specialty tools, lights and bit sets in the middle pull-out and in the bottom tip-out drawer my 11in voyager tool bag with 12v Makita drill and driver + accessories fit perfectly inside. This chest has just enough storage for everything I need while being very portable and surprisingly durable. Remember it is a combination of thin metal and molded plastic holding this thing together so don't expect it to survive being dropped or thrown around. My chest probably weighs close to 60-70lbs fully loaded with tools and I use it almost every day, loading and unloading it off of my van and rolling it around the shop and across the parking lot. It's taken some hits and has survived very well surprisingly. Drawers all still function perfectly after a year, no cracks or breaks in the plastic and no major dents in the metal after a year of constant use. If you can get this for 100-120 I think it's an excellent purchase. Couldn't be happier with mine and it beats spending the same amount at harbor freight for a rolling metal tool cart that is much harder to load and unload off of my vehicle every day. Obviously if you are leaving your tools at your shop a real tool chest is the better way to go but if you're taking your tools home at the end of the day I can't recommend this setup enough.

I use this tool chest in my work as a service plumber. The box, with some tools in it, weighs aprox 50 pounds. The handles on the box were designed to handle maybe 10 pounds, gently. The upper box had (had) a plastic handle attached by little one-eighth inch plastic pins. It broke into pieces the first day. I installed a steel handle that now works great. The extendable main handle is even thinner plastic, held together by tiny little wood screws. It lasted one week and exploded into pieces while I was entering a customers' house, scattering tools everywhere. I rebuilt it with epoxy resin and it now holds up ok, but I take great care to only use the metal handle on stairs etc. This is a great toolbox, let down by weak handles.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy. All yellow panels are metal. The drawer stays shut during transport, and the wheels roll nice.
