I had an ant problem this winter. They somehow sneaked into my house and showed up on both the first and second floors. I tried ant bait and it did work, but honestly I didn’t feel good about using it. I don’t want to kill ants—I just want them to go away. The bait caused ants to die everywhere, and I often found dead ants stuck to the bottom of my indoor slippers, which was both annoying and uncomfortable. Worst of all, even after using the bait, I still saw ants appearing here and there around the house. When I first found this product, I had doubts about whether it would be effective, but I’m really glad I gave it a try. After placing three on the first floor and two on the second floor where ants usually appeared, they quickly disappeared. Besides using the scent pouches, I also regularly wiped the areas where ants showed up with alcohol wipes. I’ve heard this helps disrupt their scent trails and makes the area less attractive for them to return. It’s been two weeks now and I haven’t seen any ants come back. Highly recommended for anyone who prefers a non-lethal way to repel ants.

I don’t usually write reviews but I HAD TO FOR THIS. I have tried everything — every brand of ant bait/trap, sprays, coffee grounds and other herbal remedies, plug-in sound emitting repellants — and still, every spring and summer my apartment becomes INFESTED with ants..I’m talking lines of ants, hundreds to thousands, in every room of my home, on the floors, countertops, all over my trash cans, etc. for months despite me keeping an extremely clean and sanitary home. I bought these out of desperation and I’m so glad I did. From day 1 to day 3 of using these, I went from the beginning of an infestation to 3-4 random ants in my whole apartment. As I write this on day 4, I haven’t seen a single ant. I’m SO RELIEVED. Cons — EXTREMELY potent. It smells like a citronella-forward herbal natural ant spray imo, and it’s an almost overpowering smell, however this could be because I put 5 individual packs throughout my 550sq ft apartment (1 at each place they tend to enter from) Also a little bit pricey compared to other at home solutions HOWEVER I’ll continue to buy these repellants happily because they actually work! Pros—WAY less messy than constantly spraying ant spray, less messy than liquid ant baits and less of a hassle to set up. Less toxic than most other remedies. My dog is not interested in the pack at all and won’t mess with it (I can’t speak for all dogs though so keep that in mind when placing these repellants). Prevents ants from entering your home rather than you trying to get rid of them once they have arrived. These are actually effective!!! Im really glad these exist and I hope they work just as well for you!!

This worked in getting rid of the ants that were attracted to my compost bin. No mess, smells clean.

Did not drive ants away attracted flies and fruit flies the ants were un bothered by them waste of money they should only sell them for 1 dollar as they're really strong smelling and doesn't work

These little sachets do a great job keeping ants away. They have a pleasant (if strong) scent that isn't offensive. It doesn't even bother my cat who's offended by every new scent. I keep one on the kitchen floor near our cats' food, and the only time I've seen ants is when wet food has been left out over night - and even then just a fraction of the ants we'd normally see. This is my third year using Stay Away and I'm a happy customer.

Will buy again forever. Great for ants. I have no idea where the ants come in from but with these they stay away, also bonus they've kept some rodents away too.

Doesn't repel black ants as well as some other species

Please be careful when purchasing this if you have pets. It has several essential oils in it (specifically peppermint), that can be very toxic to pets. These emit a very strong scent which went throughout a lot of my house very quickly. I think if the scent was less powerful it would be fine with animals, but as strong as it is the inhalation alone could be toxic to dogs and cats.
