Works great for dissolving your cuticles

This is a great product, especially for those of us who just don't like actually cutting our cuticles. If I cut my cuticles with a trimmer or even those cuticle stones, all the skin around my nails dries out considerably. It even happens if I have a professional do it. I had given up and decided to just let them be. Then I came across this product on a youtube video and decided to give it a go. It works so well to gently remove any excess skin around the nail. I think part of my problem with cuticle trimmers was that I was cutting skin that just wasn't meant to come off. When I use this cuticle remover I can see that not all the skin on my cuticles comes off, just the necessary to make my nails look neat and well cared for. I use it on my toes too when I'm giving myself a pedicure. Works just as well, but I find that you need to leave it on just a bit longer. I purchased one for my mom as well because she is diabetic and can't risk cutting herself. One tip I'd give is to make sure your hands are clean, and the area surrounding your nail has no lotion or oils on it or this won't work. I usually take an alcohol pad and clean on and around my nails just to make sure the cuticle remover will work. I'll squeeze some product around the nail, wait 15 seconds. I push my cuticles back, wipe away the excess with a warm towel or paper towel, then I'll either paint my nails or leave them be, and finish with some cuticle oil. Super quick and easy manicure.

I was never taught how to care for my nails properly. My cuticles were out of control already decades ago. I have tried cutting them off with a nipper for lack of info, but ended up with terrible looking nails, with bandaids on some due to cutting. Then I got this product. One word: AMAZING! In minutes almost all my nails finally look normal! One I think I will need to wait and give it a 2nd dose. It is much better, but the cuticles were far too bad to get fixed with just 1 try. Thank you for this product!

I noticed that a lot of the one star reviews are claiming that it just doesn’t work, but I think that most of those customers are trying to remove hangnails, not cuticles, based off the content of the reviews. I use this cuticle remover every week when I repaint my nails. I’ve tried others, but this one is so effective and easy to use. The thick consistency makes it easier to use than other products because it will stay where you put it. Also, it lasts longer than you would expect it to.

Sally Hansen cuticle remover is an ABSOLUTE MUST in cuticle care. Powerful enough to remove the dead skin around your cuticles quickly and gentle enough to not damage your skin. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is cuticle conscious. I have had the same bottle of SH cuticle remover for two years now and it is only half empty. I do my nails every two weeks and use the SH cuticle remover in my nail prep for every gel manicure, so that is pretty impressive. The only reason I needed to purchase another bottle was to gift to a friend. Also, only use orange sticks or gentle cuticle tools whenever using any type of cuticle remover, even this gentle one. Using the metal scrapers and cuticle pushers can cause you to accidentally make cuts into your cuticles and cause scraggly looking cuticles.
