I needed a sharper dough scoring blade for my sourdough breads. My knives just weren’t doing the job. So when I saw this hand crafted bread lame on Amazon, I went for it. It is great. The quality is nice and the value for the money spent is wonderful. You can spend a lot more on a bread lame, but you don’t need to with this item. Good length for ease of use, and the quality is excellent. The only thing I mention is they give you a pack of double edged razor blades, which I need, but attaching them to the end of the knife is challenging. Be very careful. The blades are thinner than the ones you may be used to in razors for face and legs. You need to hold the two ends very carefully and after hooking the razor blade to the one end…you need to bend the blade slightly to fit into the end slot. It took me over ten attempts to do this, and the razor blade fell out onto the table many times. I kept checking my fingers to see if I got nicked. I didn’t. Yay. But past that little issue, they include a small leather cover to cover the blade when it is in the drawer. And it has a great wooden handle. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend.

Very nice quality and discovered that after I bought it and actually used it the exact same one is used by a “bread baker/influencer” that I follow. Guess I made the right choice. Easy to use, extra blades and I believe I will get a lot of use from it. Price was spot on for a beginner like me as well.

This lame is great! It has a nice grip and a good length to give you enough control over your cuts, while still giving enough strength to give nice, deep cuts. It comes with a nice leather sheath to cover the blade, so you don't have to remove the blade and replace it every time you want to use it. There is a super straightforward guide for putting the blade on the handle that was really easy to understand.

Bought this for the designs on my sour dough bread! Slices through the bread dough easily. Comfortable hold. Good quality!
