Works well and fast, would buy again, just make sure to check for the correct wiring connector before ordering

Perfect replacement
Works great on my 1994 k1500 blazer, I had to cut and re use the old plug from the old actuator but other than that it works flawlessly.

This fit my '96 Suburban exactly and was an easy (5 min) install.
This fit my '96 Suburban exactly and was an easy (5 min) install. Check the type of plug on your old unit before ordering a new one as there are 2 different types (blade and pin). For the install I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the clip on the plug open and release the plug and a crescent wrench to loosen the old actuator and tighten in the new one.

Fixed my 4x4
I had no idea my 4x4 wasn’t working until I went on a hunt in the snow and got stuck on an ice road. Thankfully someone pulled me out. If your truck blinks on the 4x4 light get this it takes 5 minutes tops to replace and was cheap fix. Thank you

Easy installation!
I shopped for this metal housing actuator, same as the original. I installed it in about 5 minutes, super easy. I did not have to remove the skid plate, as some videos recommended. I'm extremely happy to have my 4WD working again!

Lasted Only One Winter Season Before Failing!
I purchased this item in late January of 2019. I didn't install it until late fall, early winter of 2019. The actuator failed just before the end of the 2020 year and don't think I even engaged it a dozen times over the 2019 -2020 winter season. I'm not very pleased with this product purchase and I hope Standard Motor Products reaches out to me to remedy my purchase. PJD from MN
