CHENLAN Original Lite-on DG-6M1S DG-6M2S Blu-ray Disc DVD Drive Replacement for Xbox One Console

Finally got around to installing this drive. The soldering wasn't too bad, I've soldered before so I knew what I was getting into, the two wires are labeled r and b for red and black, I did add more solder, be careful on this one, I assembled everything and the drive didn't even power on, what had happened was that the new soldered material was touching the metal cover so it was grounded, simple fix, I added electrical tape to the inside cover around the area where the red and black wires are and tested it before assembling everything, it loaded the disc right up. I attached a screenshot of Forza motorsport 5 loading up, there was almost no noise from this new drive. Take your time and be mindful of adding new solder and you should have a working Xbox again. Followed instructions,swapped out circuit boards with 2 wires to solder some downloading an reads games and plays Blu-ray no glitches.happy customer.

Was easy enough to get installed, but it came with a little rust on it, and I can’t get it to take a disc all the way. It goes 3/4 of the way in and stops. Unfortunately I can’t return it, because I removed the PCB board from the previous drive and soldered it into the new one. The PCB board is required to read Xbox games. So now I have a drive that doesn’t work, and I can’t return it because I altered the board. I’m pretty sure I ended up with one that was previously returned, and resold to me. I will be leaving this as a one star review until this is made right. I know I did not damage the board or any internals as I’m a computer tech and do these kind of repairs all the time.

old disc drive wouldnt read anything. swapped the board with this one and worked right away when i used a bluray disc.

Came with scrapes and scratches. I switched the board and installed it into my Xbox. I Put it all back to together. When I tried to insert a disk I heard grinding and it wouldn’t take the disk. Ultimately I just took the laser out of the new drive and put it into my disk drive. Everything works fine but I was really hoping for a new part.

Was more work taking apart the Xbox and putting it back together than swapping the board in the DVD drive

Comes in amazing quality and comes without any damages or issues. It’s amazing for 28 dollars. I highly recommend buying. Now I can play disc games again! (You do need a soldering kit but there’s videos how to solder repair your drive and make it run disc games again.)

Installed drive and it didn’t work. Found out there is a bit of modification involved in this. Took everything apart again and modified. Works good now.

Very easy to replace and reads a disk very quickly with no noises!
